Could it be that the baby boomers are reaching that risky stage, discounting the one that caused their own death.

I havent looked up all the ages as some arent familiar but this did occur to me as a possibility.

Don't feel bad, I am an American and know only seven.

But I guess we must grieve and mourn and hold candlelight vigils for every pseudo-celebrity these days.

OOps, edited to add the latest addition I never heard of, so that's 7 of 12.

I hate that this happened to McNair. I live near Houston, and that's where he began his NFL career. On top of that, from everything I've heard, he was a good guy.

I was in The Gold Club, ahh, watching tv when I saw ESPN talking about it. Looks like a double homicide.

Thanks MsFlutter

Seeing that kinda blows the baby boomer theory.

Its bizarre that so many have passed in such a short period of time, its not the year for celebrities.

At the risk of sounding cold... people die everyday.  Including celebrities.  The only difference is when a celebrity passes away, it makes more than their local newspaper's obituaries.

Actually, the reportage on this one is sounding like murder / suicide, McNair had multiple gunshot wounds, the woman had a single gunshot to the head, according to the tabloid I was reading this a.m. . . . .

Sounds more like murder-suicide now, according to CBS news this morning. The police say McNair was shot several times, the woman died of a single gunshot wound, the murder weapon was found next to her, and they are not looking for anyone in connection with the deaths. I'm sure the rest of the story will filter out over the next couple of days, and I suspect that as it does, it will be even harder on McNair's family than it has already been.

Well , we are seeing mostly Americans and the fame they have in USA, with the acception of a few.. I wounder how many famous people we are leaving off that in thier part of the world are viewed with importance and sucess..

I heard today about the driver of the Disney monterail who died after a collison with another monterail. In a way his lost will be in the minds of   millions of vistors  who will think of the accident in the future.
