Sirs job is to dirty the laundry, the bathroom, the sheets and the dishes.
My job is to clean them.

His philosophy is that he is the dominant, he doesn't want to do them, and so, he doesn't.

He doesn't insist that any of the above be done by any given time, or day, so i can be a slob for a while until the mess annoys me.

As he said when i moved in - he doesn't want me for  my housekeeping skills (thank goddess!), he keeps me for other things.[:D]

Rayne58 -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/3/2009 7:37:47 PM)

I do the dishes. And cooking, cleaning [:'(] laundry (although Sir will get it off the racks on the balcony for me sometimes if it looks like rain and/or wind and I am busy). He says He would do more but His health isn't good so it falls to me.

LdyWintershade -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/3/2009 8:32:11 PM)

The slave does....who else?  No....I know it is a matter of preference.  However, I prefer not to have to do them. :)

Scotty306134 -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/3/2009 8:44:45 PM)

I usually do the dishes in the home...unless I can talk the dog into it!

Lashra -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/3/2009 8:49:42 PM)

My teenager loads them into the dishwasher and it washes them. My sub does not live with us but if he did the chores would be divided up between us all. I do not believe that anyone who lives in the house should have NO household chores.

kuriouswitch -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/3/2009 9:04:51 PM)

Master and I don't live together so I do all the chores at home. Master says that we will have a chore schedule when I finally move in with him, daily chores, weekly chores and monthly chores. I have asked him if I can do the dishes and if he'll do the cooking. I don't cook well at all

rkreilic -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/3/2009 11:49:56 PM)

Both me and my mate do the chores. When we do take a sub, the sub and I will do most of the chores. But that's because my bf works full time and is always exhausted almost when he's home. We split the chores up based on how much ick factor there is. Like...I don't mind doing certain things but I hate getting all gross for some reason. It's weird but probably a side affect from that time I spent as a busser and being the lowest person on the totem pole at work.

slavekal -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/4/2009 5:02:51 AM)

I do.  Ms. Mlicious often cooks at her house.  It's a hobby and a joy for her.  But whenever we are together, I do almost all the grunt work.  Last night, she tried out her new grill as I and another of her boys cleaned up the basement and did the dishes and such.

Chores are not done by anyone, they get done by magic.  The house can be a mess when I go to bed, but is is neat and tidy before I come down stairs in the morning.  There is no way a normal person would do all that work, and still look like a goddess by 6am...so it must be magic.

LOL... Well I informed Master about the magical hamper in our closet; anything He places in the hamper, will reappear cleaned, pressed and hanging in its proper location.

I do the dishes and the housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, gas the car, and other errands.

A funny story:  I was conditioning the wood on the kitchen cabinets and some of the product I was using got on the floor in front of the sink.  I cleaned it up but the floor was still a little slippery so I warned Master to be careful in front of the kitchen sink so He wouldn't slip.  He replied, "Why on earth would I ever be in front of the kitchen sink?"

Lordie...does this sound familiar!!

daddysliloneds -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/4/2009 5:51:28 AM)

my brother and his wife don't have a dishwasher, and/or a housekeeper and neither one of them do dishes...

they have the financial means to throw away all the dirty ones and replace them with new ones; which they do, weekly.

leadership527 -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/4/2009 7:04:09 AM)

We split household chores. I do the "splitting". She does more of them than me.

Just curious about how people view mundane chores like this within the context of their relationships.

zaphira does all the chores within Master's home; this naturally, includes all dishes

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/4/2009 11:14:06 AM)

There's men who wash dishes as part of their job description all the time. And hell sometimes they do it even though it's not their job, but the restaurant was short employee's and other people from other departments get called in.

There's times that, that is all Daddy does at work is wash dishes. It's preposterous to me to present the idea that men being capable at something so mundane is horrifying. If they can't do it properly that's because they're CHOOSING not to. Not that they can't.

I would be distinctly uneasy at the idea of a man doing dishes, let alone touching the laundry.
But if someone really wanted to disabuse me of the notion, well, then...

With Ginger you don't have to talk her into anything, food related, She has to convince US lol. She sits under the table or beside one us of and patiently watches and hopes, and when you get up and head to the sink or the garbage pail with a plate she starts wagging her tail dancing about and whining and vocalizing in hopes you'll deem she deserves a plate or two to lick. Of course you still have to use soap and water on them after she's done, but there wno't be any food residue or bits of food  on them. She does a wonderful job cleaning off anything dried on too, she's often still working on the item long after it's clean because the scent is still there. So when you go to take it away she's like but but but I'm not done with that, and Dad says yes, you are you've done enough, and she kinda sighs.

slaveluci -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/4/2009 11:27:49 AM)

I do most of the cooking (when we don't eat out) and Master's grown son who lives with us does the dishes. Master enjoys cooking sometimes but I think washing dishes is a hard limit for Him[8D]. Fortunately, He never has to worry about that..............luci

Rhembein -> RE: Who does the dishes? (7/4/2009 11:33:34 AM)

I have this lever on the wall that I pull down and the entire house gets automatically cleaned like a toilet bowl. It's very convenient! You should look into it. :)

She would, generally, but there's certainly nothing wrong with me helping. Or doing them all, if I felt like it, or if it was needed.

My dad taught me that a man does what he needs to do. After he became sick and unable to work, he did things like the dishes, in order to contribute, and make things a little easier on my mom.

is this a multiple choice? I pick the second one.

It is indeed, but guess who gets to pick? (So far, you're not doing well) [:D]
