I'm Elousia, from Fort Smith, Arkansas.
I come here from the peculiar place of having lived the lifestyle in a D/s (really closer to M/s) relationship 24/7, but not knowing what it was. I thought everyone was like that. Evidently not.
Now, many years after the fact, I encountered the BDSM concept, and started reading about D/s relationship dynamics. And the pieces began falling into place for me. So I was able to start identifying what was desirable, healthy, addictive, unhealthy, harmful, etc... about it. The next step from there is identifying exactly who and what I am, and what I need out of future relationships.
That said, I am seeing one who has garnered my respect and admiration, and who has made my heart go "pitter-pat" again. So... I am not looking. My purpose for being here is primarily to read and learn. I am likely to lurk often, and post rarely.
And that would be me and my link to the lifestyle, in a nutshell.
