...the circle had been "pie"   so that is even more puzzling.  man oh man- SMART creatures those things!!   Maybe I could learn from them!

Huh. Since most crop circles of which I've seen pictures have been in Europe, particularly the UK, wallabies wouldn't seem to be that source; I always figured the crop circle thing was an offshoot of 'raver culture', young people having a lark . . .. . . Probably involving some intoxicant use, so they've got that part right, lol . . . . .

Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport .....be sure to pay attention between 0:18 - 0:28 you can see them eating the poppies.....lol

Fitznicely -> RE: crop cirlcle mystery solved. (6/25/2009 9:53:16 PM)

We do have wild wallabies in the UK...escaped from zoos and such - not many, but they're out there...

Poppy fields are a bit rare, though [:)]

I saw a report years ago "outing" some crop circle hoaxers. Bunch of university types with huge planks of wood and too much time on their hands.

gotta say, I'd pa good money to watch stoned miniature kangaroos lolloping round in circles, tho...

"Trippy Skippy" LOL

*carefully not stepping on Greedy's toes*

I'll flatter you anytime you'd like, Pirate guy . .. . . & thanks for offering up a little confirmation of my thoughts about crop circles . .. . . By the by, I love looking at pics of crop circles, it's quite lovely artwork in its own way . . . . .

Just a bit taken out of context that made me giggle "The one interesting bit that I found recently in one of my briefs.......". God, I suck.[:D]

I don't believe the story though. Everyone knows crop circles are made by mating hedgehogs.

ladynlord -> RE: crop cirlcle mystery solved. (6/26/2009 12:41:52 PM)

Can you imagine the hang over these little guys have?  Drugged up and dizzy!!!

Aneirin -> RE: crop cirlcle mystery solved. (6/26/2009 1:33:42 PM)

Proves it is natural to go in search of intoxicants.

Although have seen just small circles in wheat fields and long grass fields in very open spaces, south downs being one of them, where the thought is it is swirling wind touching down and trashing the plants.

I wondered in you in the US, with your vast wheat fields had small  crop circles made by  the winds that blast across those very open spaces. Small whirlwinds like dust devils, and water spouts, not the great lumiking tornados, baby ones.

DemonKia -> RE: crop cirlcle mystery solved. (6/26/2009 7:48:19 PM)

I hear what you're saying, but the crop circles I'm thinking of are most likely not being made by windstorms. The patterns have been getting more elaborate over time:
