I go in monday morning
The surgeon told me I'll be in hspital for 5-7 days.
I asked him if he could put the bowel section in a big jar of formaldyhide so I can gross out the neighbors when they have a cook out, "We're having CHITLINS over here!"
This should be fun, I get to drink the kool-ade sunday.

I have been wondering when you were going to have your surgery.
Thank you for letting us know.
5-7 days in the hospital?
Someone alert the poor nurses that will have to view your monster balls

Seriously Popeye, eat healthy this weekend, no alcohol, or greasy foods!
I will send up some positive prayers for your surgery.

I hope all goes well, and you have a wonderful recovery.
Hell, it looks like you will be out in time, to light firecrackers for the 4th of July!

I had abdominal surgery in April and it went well.  Give yourself time to heal.  I wish you nothing but the best.  This is a perfect excuse to yell bloody murder when you're coming out of the ether - I did.  I asked them to kill me.  I felt better quickly.  I am sure you will too.

Remember to stock up all the supplies you will need at home for afterwards. And I hope some of those cute nurses or ladies around the swimming pool where you live will take good care of you. [sm=flowers.gif]

Rats!   So then I best stop posting for 5 days.      Out of the hundreds of posters get - semi understand my posts.  So- estimate that 1.7 posters sorta get the rants.     When you are out- that leaves .7

WTF!   DUDE-  you better be gitting a stellar buzz from the pills/shots in there!!!   I want you so buzzed that I get a contact high here in Pennsylvania!    ;-)

....I just started a colon cleanse.  It had been 2 years.  I ate right- but not the past 2 months.  So clog out the drains time.

I will google the hospital.   Talk to the nurses station.     (greasey wheel gets the oil)  tell them you are an honorable veteran- and so forth.       (if you want me to - I will)

As the valuim kicks in- those man show breasted trampoline girls- that jump on the trampoline fun.

/ men are like cars.   sometimes gotta go in for a rear end job.    lol

The one time- I was in the hospital- the nurse offerred a back rub.   It was really nice.   I was the only one in 3 beds that said- YES!!!
Tho anytime someone verbalized a sleeping pill or pain pill- another dude ALWAYS said " I need one too".

lol

As to the recovery- sometimes the over do the if ands and buts on it.    Ask questions.  Often the brochures are out of date.  When my gall bladder was out- like 3 of the nurses had theirs out too and was chatting with me and how it all went.

ASK!

Verbalize.

We will miss you.

Have you ever had surgery before?

Do you mind hospitals?

What’s “the kool-ade”?

I’ve only had surgery once. Being put under was kind of kool. They put the stuff in the IV, wheeled me down the hall about 20 ft, around a corner, through a door…. Out.

Hope nobody tries to cook that thing up.

Kim

Popeye...whatever you do, pay attention to what the nutritionist tells you. You diet will be very, very important in your recovery

Best of luck to you, I hope they give you your reward so you can do the freak out with the neighbors.

When I was in the hospital here for pneumonia they had wifi, which gads without I woulf hve gone stir crazy, not that I already was since I was not allowed to leave it except to use the bedside potty.

I had awesome nurses and most of them were very cute.  I especially liked the night nurse.  Between me and my roomate if they werent busy they would come and hang out in the crazy room.  Glad I was able to entertain them LOL

I would say hope you get alot of rest...but that is impossible, what with damn stat checks at 3am

Marc2b -> RE: Monday Morning Surgery. (6/19/2009 6:59:41 AM)

Best of luck and a speedy recovery.

Here is how NOT to act in the hospital - though you wish you could.
