I have to go under the knife due to diverticulosis.
They'll be removing parts of my large intestine. They told me that I'll have to wear a colostomy bag for a few weeks.
Gee, this is going to be fun.
"LAST ONE IN THE POOL IS AN ASSHOLE!!!"

Make SURE you ask for the colostomy bag made by Hollister (or maybe it's Baxter now).

The adhesive is made of Karaya paste (a natural product) and doesn't irritate the skin (which WILL matter after about 3 days of taking it on and off).  ALL of the other brands use chemical adhesives...and they aren't fun.

(Mom used to work for Hollister).

As a fellow sufferer of diverticulosis - one who has not yet had to go under the knife (and hopes I never will) - I wish you good luck and a speedy recovery.

Well, all the witty lines have already been taken.  So, I hope the surgery goes well and the recovery goes well, and you get back to enlightening us with your interesting points of views, ASAP.

You had better hope a raghead is not on the surgical team is all I can say...

My best friend had the exact same operation as you three years ago... He went a full year before the reattachment...Doing great now but as a hard-core libertarian he is full of shit again.

You couldn't be further from the truth. I wish you a speedy recovery, actually, and hope that you feel better soon.

It's not because someone disagrees with 99.9% of the stuff that you write that they wish you harm.

but diverticulosis is a really unpleasant medical condition.
On the up side, the colostomy bag is only for a few weeks, and nor permanent.

I hope you have been treating Nurse CutiePie well, and she will be around to help you out.
I do hope to get down to Myrtle Beach if not this summer, than early fall.
I do want to meet ya, Sailorman.

Corn is one of the foods to avoid if you have diverticulosis.  Seeds and nuts also have to be avoided.  It's weird how it works.  Penuts?  No way!  Peanut butter?  As long as it's the creamy kind it's perfectly fine.  Corn?  Big no no.  Corn chip?  A-ok.

Kittin, cool. They can take out 2/3's of my brain. Would that make you feel more comfortble? Even playing field and all that?
WOW!!! "99.9%?" I'm impressed!!!

Welll Popeye,  You best return home with a date with a nurse -or nurses friend from there.

With all the years of swallowing pussy juice it is no wonder that the colon needs looked at,  ;_)

I never did have that test- where they go in and take pics. My body is so out of whack.  I am at a lost.

Nurses will do back rubs.   just tell then you buddy in PA is opening a silver mine-and we need a good staff --surely a pretty face willl help.   The gal- MUST like jewelry   (to include gold, and platimunm.)
