Joseff, if she and her partner choose to use "it," as a pronoun in reference to her, why would she need to avoid that here? I think "it" is a lot better than the Bob-Dole-speak, abuse of pronouns, and s/Slashy S/speak, at least. lilshyslavegirl, I started out pretty wimpy, and it still depends on the type of pain, warmup, and a lot of other variables. I personally can handle more thud than sting, but a lot of people are the other way around. I tend to need some warmup, but if I wear a hood while he is getting things set up, the sensory overload when it comes off really reduces warmup time. Breathing techniques, playing with energy (for lack of a better word - the EMF field that our body radiates), and other techniques can help with processing pain more effectively/pleasurably. In general, I don't get intrinsically turned on by pain, but it physically feels enjoyable when I'm in the right headspace.
