Joseff, if she and her partner choose to use "it," as a pronoun in reference to her, why would she need to avoid that here? I think "it" is a lot better than the Bob-Dole-speak, abuse of pronouns, and s/Slashy S/speak, at least.[;)]

lilshyslavegirl, I started out pretty wimpy, and it still depends on the type of pain, warmup, and a lot of other variables. I personally can handle more thud than sting, but a lot of people are the other way around. I tend to need some warmup, but if I wear a hood while he is getting things set up, the sensory overload when it comes off really reduces warmup time. Breathing techniques, playing with energy (for lack of a better word - the EMF field that our body radiates), and other techniques can help with processing pain more effectively/pleasurably. In general, I don't get intrinsically turned on by pain, but it physically feels enjoyable when I'm in the right headspace.

i am not a painpuppy.  i shriek when i hurt myself, i dont like or want the owwies i deal with every dang day (chronic pain condition).

*however* if i am already in a state of arousal, if himself has taken the time to have me mentally and physically prepared for that, then i can orgasm from pain, and we both enjoy it.

now, when he thrashes in his sleep and clocks me in the face?  not so much.  *neither* of us enjoys that.

I think pain puppies only get off on pain given consentually, not  just any old pain, I could be wrong though.

For me I enjoy miner bits of pain with out warm up but to want more and to be pushing into it and be like yes please harder please it don't hurt enough I have to be warmed up and horny.

How does one know it is a painslut or masochist for sure, how can one's inhibitions in regards to pain be overcome, how can one be pushed safely and how does it know when is enough?

Pain and slut are both subjective terms.
There is no such thing as surety.
So... the answer's very clear really.
