ZenDragoness,

In regards to clip, PT probably means physical training. In the summer, PT gear changes from coveralls to short sleeves/shorts, depending on the climate.

Other military definitions for PT would be point, patrol torpedo, and plain test, but they don't really apply.

I'm sorry that I did not see your question earlier. It's been a busy week here.

PT in reference to military uniforms does stand for physical training. It is basically the same as a t-shirt and shorts. In other words, no severe bruising on the thighs during those summer months.
