I guess that makes sense but some people don't have that fetish and may suffer from the situation. I know that everyone has different fetishes but, in this case, people may be involuntarily suckered into an exploitation they are not asking for. I'm not trying to argue against a fetish, I'm merely trying to see if people would be interested in figuring out a way to help protect those susceptible to exploitation, but apparently not.

I tried, but I was squatting for so long, I finally said," I'm getting too old for this shit."

Have you done that search yet?  Professional anti-scam people have posted here.  I last saw such a post two days ago.

Listen, it isn't a matter of people being mean to you.  You are 22 years old, you have been here 6 months and have no experience (by your own admission) in the lifestyle.  I don't believe that you posted this thread in an effort to start a "serious" discussion.  I believe it was because you THINK you have a solution and want to share it with others and can't understand why no one thought of it first.

The errors in your theory are many, but mainly, your suggestions would make this and any other sites become less than friendly.  As the profiles are, each opinion is objective based only on the reader and the profile.  The idea is not to turn it into a popularity contest, which the "star" system does.  When a site isn't friendly, people don't want to stick around.

The whole "fakes and scammers" has been discussed ad nauseum around here.   Do some people get scammed really bad at times?  I'm sure they do.  But it isn't the job of this site or its members to protect people from their own stupidity.  Nor is it yours.

You're young, you're inexperienced.  If you want to come to this site to learn, insulting the people that have been around a lot longer than you will just alienate you.  If you really are that mature and aware, use your brain and approach things in a manner that will isn't so "I know best".  I know I will get a few slams from some of the other younguns around here, but honey, you are TWENTY-TWO years old, you have less than half the life experience of not only me, but a good number of folks around here.  This isn't to say you might not have a valuable thought or opinion, but if you really think you have some "new" ideas, I'm gonna wonder if you've been buying from some of the local dealers in this area (you are 7 miles from me), because that WILL screw you up royally.

But what about the blatantly obvious scam artists who, unfortunately, might have large negative effects on other people besides through their wallet?[/snip]

[snip]I don't think that the people who exploit men for these desires fully understand the possible ramifications of their actions.[/snip]

quote:

[snip]I know this is an extreme example but if someone who is so desperate to fulfill a desire, such as submit to a woman in a BDSM relationship, is scammed or exploited repeatedly (or sadly even once) on this desire, this can have damaging affects on their life and even, in extreme cases, turn them suicidal.

Dude,
The above indicates that you don't fully understand what you are dealing with when you talk about scammers (I'm talking about professional internet scammers). Some here know that I worked with an anti internet scam group for a number of years. I have encountered more scammers than I can remember in the course of that work, and numerous victims whose stories I wish I didn't have to remember. Let me tell you one thing about scammers...
They don't  give a rat's ass about the damage they do to their victims.

If a scammer hears that their victim has committed suicide, they grieve... for the money they will no longer be getting from their victim. I've yet to "meet" a scammer that wouldn't happily talk their victim into sending his/ her rent, grocery money, prescription money, or the money to pay for a loved one's medical treatment via Western Union. I've seen victims lose their savings and homes, families, freedom, and yes, their lives- either by suicide or by being killed by the scammers. The scammer simply moves on.

As to the psychological impact being greater for kinky men, I call bullshit. Victims of all kinds of 419 scams (of which love scams are one variety) suffer enormous emotional damage, some to the point of suicide. Being kinky doesn't have a damned thing to do with it. Betrayal and the violation of trust have everything to do with it, and you see that with many many scam victims, no matter the scam.

You should have known that it wouldn't take me long to find this thread, RM.
