For those who object to the cost of Cable..but who have high speed broadband, you can get 99% of your shows direct on the web though places like Hulu, and the channels themselves. The entire first season of Blood Ties for example is available on the Lifetime web site for free. The majority of the Local channels CBS, ABC, etc all put the show that aired the night before online with minimum commercial interruption and  even Showtime and HBO shows can be found if you search for them. Netflix also makes TV shows and streaming movies available via the web as well as delivers DVD's to your door. You really don't have to deal with Cable TV if you have a laptop or desktop that you can hook up to your TV.

I don't have cable tv, I have DISH.  I also have high-speed broadband.

But where can you get that other than through the cable company?

Good for you. There are all sorts of "bullshit" fees and charges that many people do just simply pay because it is easier and cheaper than hiring an attorney and fighting.

In some instances you should be able to not only "beat them back" but also sue for damages, or have the court impose fines on the offending parties.
