I've seen that with my own eyes, from a high altitude camping site near Leadville, Co. We kept thinking that it was light pollution, or a "false dawn" of some kind. When we finally realized what it was, we were absolutely thunderstruck! Tracing the western spiral arm back, toward the horizion, and realizeing the closer and closer to the horizion our view got, the longer the time span... until the core... which is almost 50,000 years away... Great video... thanks for posting that!
