LaT, Absolutely go to the doctor. This was not my experience but that of a friend. She got a tick bite when she was about 18, and didn't notice any symptoms. Around the time she had her second child some 10 years later, she was diagnosed with RA. Her health kept getting worse and then about 5 years ago she was diagnosed with MS. About 6 months after the MS diagnosis, someone heard her mother-in-law talking about all her health issues and suggested she go get tested for Lyme Disease. It turned out that ALL of her health issues were because of the Lyme. I believe it took about 2 years of intensive treatments with antibiotics (along with other holistic treatments) to get her completely free of the Lyme. Shortly after she was diagnosed, she took her son in to be tested and they discovered she had passed the Lyme disease on to him in-utero. It is definitely not something to mess around with or waste time getting to the doctor for. Especially because it does seem that it's totally treatable, even when it's caught late (with the exception of all the nasty side effects that may linger) Good luck with the doctors and with your treatment!
