On collarme, sometimes I receive a reply from someone and I can see that the person replying has not logged in recently. How do you reply to a message on collarme without first logging into the website?

I think there's an option not to show your last log in date. If so, they have logged in but you just can't see it.

Yep, you can hide your online status through account preferences. So someone can be on and you not know it. So if it's someone you want to reply back to, go ahead. If nothing else, most people have email notifications when they receive cmail and can check for your message when they get the notification.
