Damn!  What's with all these May birthdays?  I thought they were all supposed to be in November or something.

I'll say happy birthday now though, so I don't forget. ;)  *HUG*

There's apparently a fleet of us May babies. I get a federal holiday for my bday. Life is good :)

What happens Stateside in July? to create all you May babies? It boggles the imagination.

Actually, :: counting on fingers::    conception was an August thing. I dont believe there are any major holidays in August so perhaps they were creating their own fun :)

July 4th weekend. Lots of barbecues, alcohol and late nights.

I've always forbidden my slaveboy to buy me presents. The gift I want from him is what he gives me every day. Himself. (Not his submission- the gift is him.)

They don't have to be mutually exclusive, ya know?[;)] I always think that everytime there's a thread about birthdays, or Christmas, or Valentine's Day, etc. There's always a couple folks who proclaim they don't NEED gifts for a special day 'cuz EVERY day is special. Well duh. Of course it is. But why can't some days be even more super extra special and include thoughtful gifts exchanged? They can. Giving gifts doesn't mean there's only that wonderful feeling on one or two days per year. It doesn't have to be one or the other. (Not saying you said it did, it's just a pet peeve.)

EVERY day is like Christmas, New Years Eve, Valentine's Day and our birthdays and anniversary all rolled up into one. Woo Hoo! That doesn't mean we can't celebrate those too without feeling all the other days are less special[:)]

Just my 2 cents.........

The only thing I ever want for my birthday is acknowledgement, a happy birthday greeting and for people to give of themselves to me.

Material items really do nothing for me for my birthday.

I want someone to take the time out of their day to spend time with me either just being here with me or just talking.

That shows me they care more than any physical gift ever could.
