sirsholly -> Mothers Day (5/9/2009 4:27:44 AM)

Tomorrow is Mothers Day and i want to take the opportunity to personally thank so many on this site who give me just cause to try to emulate their motherhood skills.

There are so many...Celeste, who stays in all weekend with a grounded teen when it would be so easy on her to let him off the hook. Aylee, a working mom doing an awesome job. Peaches, who amazes me always with her loving nature and sense of humor. Rain, who had mommyhood dropped in her lap and more than met the challenge. YDD, dealing well with her kids issues day by day, AngelEyes, who raised her daughters to adulthood and is now one of their best friends. And the list goes on and on....

Ladies...you are amazing!! Happy Mothers Day [:)]

Happy Mother's Day to you too, holly!  You remind me that I'm human too, and while I don't put all the little amusing nuances that I or my family go through, you remind me to "keep it real", because every family has its trials and tribulations.  You also remind me how important it is to take time to appreciate our little  (or loud) ones while they're still little.  I wish I could have some of that time back.

Ya, can't forget yerself, holly!! You're one of the most amazing mothers I know and I truly respect and admire your dedication and perseverance, even with all yer accidents and boo-boos. (Gotten any more stitches lately or called the fire department? I bet yer getting to know the local crew on a first name basis!) [:D]

For all the moms out there, keep doing the wonderful job you are - you are loved and appreciated, they just may not show it yet. [:)]

Happy Mother's Day to you too, hejira!  I almost wish I hadn't know what felicitations were.  That word kind of sounds dirty, yet so hawt!

And Happy Mother's Day to everyone that is responsible for nurturing and caring for others.... even if they're furbabies.

PanthersMom -> RE: Mothers Day (5/9/2009 2:16:09 PM)

a happy mother's day going out to all the lovely ladies here who have given their blood, sweat and tears to raising their young ones into the wonderful adult people they have become or will be someday.  i love hearing about those who have older ones, so i know it can and often does get better.  i love hearing about the ones that are near my own boys ages, so i know i'm not alone in ripping my hair out.  i love hearing of the little ones, who often remind me of the wonderful days when mine were that little.  enjoy your day moms!!

To all of us, let's raise a glass.
And Holly, in 20 years you'll be able to look back to these days of mishaps and laugh. And then laugh even more when it's his turn to have his own kids!

sirsholly -> RE: Mothers Day (5/10/2009 8:26:01 AM)

A Mother loves right from the start.
She holds her baby close to her heart.
The bond that grows will never falter.
Her love is so strong it will never alter.

A Mother gives never ending Love.
She never feels that she has given enough.
For you she will always do her best.
Constantly working, there's no time to rest.

A Mother is there when things go wrong.
A hug and a kiss to help us along.
Always there when we need her near.
Gently wipes our eyes when we shed a tear.

So on this day shower your Mother with Love.
Gifts and presents are nice but that is not enough.
Give your Mother a day to have some peace of mind.
Be gentle, be good, be helpful, be kind.

Happy Mothers Day.
