For the last few days I can't sign into Yahoo Messenger. I hit "sign in" and nothing. What do I do?

Download Pidgin Internet Messenger from here and simply choose the Yahoo Messenger option and log in as normal.

YIM is having a bit of a snit the last few days, they all seem to every now and then. I do agree about pidgin though, I've been using it for years now (originally gaim, but aim got bitchy about it). It's an all in one messenger like trillian, if you've ever heard of it, except that it doesn't suck. ;)

Yahoio has been bumping me off and on and when I complain they give me the standar answer it must be the phone line yeah right I have satlight..

Yahoo is always notoriously buggy for me, anyway. Even when it's working, it doesn't work. If you know what I mean.

yahoo sucks normally, when they start playing with the programs and trying to make "improvements" things really go to hell! i say start with the basics, improve the damn service so it actually works reliably, you'll have happy users. PM

I had that issue with yahoo. Once, all I had to do was reboot, and things were ok. Another time, I had to uninstall, and then re-install and that solved the issue. I dunno if that will help...lol

I've had to update my YM 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Try removing the program, and redownloading it Popeye
