Wasn't sure where to post this. I want to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement when my mother passed away. I miss her greatly, and your words have helped me to deal with this loss. Her death has made me very aware of how fast things can change. I ask all of you to look to your own health. It took less then three years from the first lump until her death. Again thank you all in my time of pain and loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. No matter how old we get it is always difficult to lose a parent. We're never ready.

Your sad loss is an illustration to my constant encouragement to loved ones to "enjoy life and live it up". We know not the hour of our demise.

When my mother died it was near the holidays.

I did not enjoy them for several years after that.
But then they became filled with the good holiday
memories of my mother and are better and richer
now because of those memories.

I know it may sound hollow, perhaps even trite, but
in my case time did help with the healing. I wish
the same for you.

Thank you all for your words, I find it hard to believe it is almost a year now(August 22), seems like just yesterday. I expected Mother's Day to be so hard. I keep hopeing the old saying of time heals all wounds is true.
