new to this site and haven't figured it out if it's at all possible to search not only by orientation (like - "submissive female") but also by what the other person is looking for. There are a lot of submissive females, but not all of them are looking for a couple (and - to narrow it down even further - of those looking for a couple, not all are looking to be submissive to him but dominant/or equal to her). Is there a way to search for a third without reading each and every profile?

Yes. In the search box, there's a drop-down menu titled "They are Seeking." You can only choose one option at a time, but they have Poly Household, as well as many couples options.

unfortunately, even if you choose some specific option from "they are seeking" - you still get a lot of irrelevant profiles in your search. Thought there was something more precise, but apparently not. Thank you for answering anyway.

The ideal search would take a long time to run, using tons of computer time on the server end.

Collarme's search is waaay better than alt.com's. Whereas collarme's search lets you specify miles from your zip code, alt.com makes you search by state.
I live in northern California, hundreds of miles from the 25 million in southern CA. What a waste of my time.
