Is it really important where my mailbox is?

**warning:  I am NOT answering for the majority **

Yes - it really is. The logistics can be a serious PIMA and the 'girl in every port' thing is a hard limit.  Last one that tried that got dropped so fast he had friction burns. I'm a very tolerant person but wankers/players bring out the .45 caliber bitch that hides in the back of my head.

(I'm nowhere near as frightening as Cat can be but, still, buildings fall down !!)

LOL  even after explaining my self in this thread most seem to misunderstand my situation.
I have no real ties to ANYPLACE.
As far as Im concered one place is as good as  another.
Moving for me is as simple as coming home to town B instead of town A. Just different words on a plane tickit.
I mostly work intencely  10 day to 2 weeks 4 or 5 times a year.

So can the so called "local" offer anymore than that?

Besides I checked  the "Willing to relocate" button.!

Well, I figure that there must be many women who live in cold, dark, expensive places up North who might want to consider moving here with me after a few visits.
I mean if *you* had your "druthers" where'd you rather spend the winter, Myrtle Beach, S.C. or Detroit? Or Portland ,Maine?
I moved here to get away from all that B.S. up North. I'd much rather spend the $300-$400 per month I'd be paying to heat a house up there by burning up oil on going out to the Texas Roadhouse for some steak and ribs or on other things.
And I'm definately not alone in that kind of thinking by the amount of people moving here from up North and the Mid West.
It's nice to be able to go out for a walk on a Jan. day and not come home with frost bite.
And I just wouldn't be interested in a woman with small um's.
For a woman who's div/wid with grown offspring this would be an ideal situation.
No pushing and shoving, Ladies!

Popeye- the Heat cost you mention- is for real.  My grandparents used to winterize their house and camp out in FL for the winter.  My heat here crept up- I really dont want to take in a boarder....  it has me worried.  The gas company wants 13% more and will get it.  My place was so cold my company doesnt take off the coats while here. (I am used to it)

One thing tho- is I find intense heat to be uncomfortable.   It only gets so cheap- to run a household.

So basically four or five times a year, you are gone from ten days to two weeks.

Around my house that would be when the fridge goes out, the van won't run and I'm stuck on highway 1000 and the fix it guy knows I know nothing about engine part 6890 that connects to 456 in models xy and gt, the heater doesn't work, the storm blew half the house away and I am alone to take care of it all.

Then of course there is the getting to know you stage and well, that can be as little or as much as one decided to really show about their life and what might be or not be happening.  No real time, day in and out of seeing someone, just when one can be online or reached by phone with the major amount of time being spent, doing god knows what and with whom.  Then when it is time to actually move closer there is no telling who finally realizes they really don't want to move away from the grown um's or move to a place where they have only one connection and that neighbor has started to look a whole lot better than a costly move to a non local.  And moving all your things or giving them up... No thanks...

It could take a year or so to get to the point of knowing you want to be closer to someone where in person I can find that out a whole lot faster and see things I cannot see in person.  Now if my ticket to ride in this lifetime was limitless and I had all the time in the world to play and have fun online rather than actually having some fun in person... I might be okay with that long time of endless nights alone, committed to someone I cannot reach out and touch and actually see a smile light their face up without the seven second delay and robot like movement a cam provides... cool... but I am not okay with that.

Some of us tried the long distance thing and know how it can go first hand.  I wasopen and fair minded... twice.  I am not going there again! lol

If I want to pinch an ass... I don't want to wait a year or so to do it.

Actually, you didn't explain yourself. You simply said you live in the entire U.S. and that your situation was complicated.

Will that be the plane ticket that YOU purchase seeing as how you have no problem traveling? It doesn't work that way for everyone.

I mostly work intencely  10 day to 2 weeks 4 or 5 times a year.
Cool for you. Like I said before, everyone has their own preferences. I work 6 days a week, almost every week of the year except when I schedule a vacation. Cool for me.

So can the so called "local" offer anymore than that?
Maybe, maybe not. Why the competition?

Besides I checked  the "Willing to relocate" button.!
Then it won't be a problem for you when you meet a person who wants only locals. Just move.

You have no relationships?  Friends?  Family?
That seems odd to say the least.
I would be fearful of someone who had such lack of a life that they would immediately want to re-locate.  It screams many things to me.  None of them are positive.

I have relationships, friends and family but in many diffent areas  so no  ties to a particular place that would be worth more than a  great submissive woman. Of course I have places I enjoy more than others  but Im not tied down to them

I didnt  realise how much detail  was needed........It would be sorta wordy to put everything  about me in this thread in a "hello" note.

Yep Ill buy the ticket

Point was that inspite of my  traveling to work Im around as much as most locals

So can the so called "local" offer anymore than that?

Beats me thats sorta the point of the thread.

Besides I checked  the "Willing to relocate" button.!

Your  right it wont But would you be willing to change your mailbox BEFORE you send someone interesting a "Hello" note?

ugh, honestly some people purposely make up something in order to have something to bitch about.  if life for you is so wonderful, find someone with an adventurous spirit and take her with you.  then you'll always have your "great submissive woman" wherever you go.

FantasyMaker, I'm one of those "local only" sorts. Even if a guy *is* local, I need him to have a reasonably compatible schedule. If we can't go on dates, play, cuddle, and stuff at least once a week most of the time (I'm willing to skip a week or two here and there when necessary), we aren't compatible. Online and phone just aren't sufficient.

Popeye, I think there is a separate "location" setting in your forum profile, and you need to modify it there as well. Click http://www.collarchat.com/editprofile.asp and go to the "from" field.

fast reply

think Green Acres theme song - i could never "do" the country/small town life. i'm mover and shaker as a big city gal and there's too much to give up, in my opinion, to settle for a quiet (boring) country life. i would go nuts.

so if a guy isn't local and/or near Chicago (as in around the heart of the city, lakefront, etc) no such meeting will take place.

More importantly many men are in jobs where the address is just a randum location. I live in the ENTIRE U.S. but thats not a location option in your profile editing. Should I  create a new profile for every location someone Im interested in lives?

ummm I live in the ENTIRE Canada and Mexico.  Perhaps we should hook up???

I'm looking for the works: marriage, more "ums", etc.  I won't get involved with someone who isn't planning on being there for the PTA meetings, coaching TBall or the ballet/piano recitals.   If you're here for the conception, you damn well better be here for the birth, and raising of them, bub.
