It is kind of upsetting for me. To come on CM and do a search of a state. And then you wait for a response to come back.

Then you add them to your messenger after talking with them a couple times here on CM.
Then you ask them where are they living now? ( what state) Then they procede to tell you they live in the state listed, but right now they are over seas. (mostly africa)

Then procede to ask you for money to help get them back home.
To me that is a very BIG RED FLAG. To me there nothing more then a scam artist. trying to get my hard earned money.

I'm guessing what my questuon is. Is there anything that can be done about these people lieing about where they truely are living at? And asking for money?

Ask where they are living now in your first email?

Figure everyone is living half the world away and needs money and then when you find one that isn't and doesn't... you aren't disappointed and can be happy if it matters that much.  I don't need to get into messenger to figure out which are which.  Learn to see the red flags a bit earlier and not rush into messenger.

But... a bit of a warning... you can count on many of the one's in your area being problematic as well.  Just because someone lives near you doesn't mean they will be any less a player or scammer. 

As for what to do about them... The only thing that works is turning off you computer.

Not a red flag for me - it's a black flag with the skull and crossbones on it!
 
I look for obvious issues like "London, Florida" for the city, the weight being 49 pounds or 300 pounds (when the picture shows a woman weighing most likely 110) or a picture that is professionally lit and obviously not the usual hold-the-camera-at-arms-length CM quality.  (I will say, there is most likely one or two subs on here who have professional, or professional quality shots.  I would bet they are already taken already so the great photos are a red flag.)  Nothing you can do but ignore them off the bat.  The posters that have stolen photos of porn stars - I notify the porn star on her site so she knows to file a DMCA complaint.

Thanks everyone. The post are great. But there must be something that we poeple of CM can do about this. It is not fair for us that are for real. and here really looking for the right person to be with. CM may need to add to there webpages a place where you can report these people that are scammers and there profiles do not match where there really at. Then CM can look at how many there really are here on CM. And try to figure a way to delete them or delete there profiles.

Does anyone else think this also?

Yes there is something we can do,

delete block and get on with your life and forget about them. 

it's a free site,so it's part of CM, if you don't like it move to another site where guess What???? the same thing will happen.  Want to avoid it, join a pay site

I understand your frustration.
It is annoying but really the only thing you can do is work on fine-tuning your discernment.
Ask location questions earlier and follow the lead of experienced people here: block and delete.

The question of what to do with scammers and spammers comes up a lot.
(And time-wasters, wankers, wanna-bes...)

It seems like it would be an easy solution to just report them all and get their profiles yanked.
It just doesn't work that way.
Say you were to meet a sub that you liked and then you find out she just does not mesh with you.
You break it off with her.
In your scenario, what is there to stop her (and 25 of her closest friends) from reporting you?
Plus you would have the mischief makers who would report random people for the hell of it.

If you work on your screening process, you will spend less time with people who aren't real.
Better yet, if you get out into your community: munches, classes, workshops and such you might meet "real" local people that you can then get to know.
