This topic is really getting to me, language nerd that I am. I usually try to clarify any terms I use, if I think there may be any ambiguity, but it is clear that many terms mean many different things to many people, and by my count that's 2 too many "many"s.  I'm sure that someone has started a thread on the definition of each of these terms, who will volunteer to research them?      No takers? HMMMM. Perhaps a different idea then; If some interprising soul would start a new thread, and each poster just states and defines two terms with which they define themselves. Of course, I don't think this would be a solution to the current issue, but it would provide some interesting reading.
