Why is it that people think a profile and/or message like that would be at ALL appealing? Do they not realize they're wasting their time? I suppose none of those people post on the boards here, but I'm really curious as to how their minds work, and why they would even bother.

Does it make sense to someone else? I sure don't get it.

I have known quite a few ppl to take that trip. This one guy that used to do it was a aussie. Obviously he had a couple of bucks. The girls would stay a week or so. The ones I spoke with about it would say what a nice time they had. It's not as odd as you think.

I think its rather crazy too. They have no information and yet they think you will message them on yahoo with a one sentence e-mail. yah right

I have read ads like that in regular dating sites and personals ads, "seeking a travel companion" etc.

I am just amazed this is even a thread on here..it happens to women everyday on here...you have to be able to filter as others have said... oops forgot i already answered this one...my bad..but my answer is the same thing.

I see it in sailing mags all the time. most are looking for crew and shared expenses. Literally the middle of the ocean with a stranger in something not much bigger than your bedroom. Hell the person pisses you off for whatever reason, you still can't get away from them. Port is 6 days away.

Now to me that's Nutz. Not traveling to meet a stranger.

I must have something wrong on my profile then, I never get cmail like mentioned here. Hmmmm, maybe it's the wedding photo?

OP, call it what you like - fishing, trolling, scamming, any number of things. Just keep in mind that it only has the worth and value that you give it. Ignore it or call him on it. Tell him you only want first class tickets and your own place there. While it may be a serious offer, more likely it's not. Though I did get to know someone on here once that had a very minimal profile yet I took the chance. Wonderful man, had a lot in common with him, not that I found out through his profile but just through cmail and talking with him. If the offer doesn't interest you, move on. There are a lot of great people here.

Because it's a free trip to So Cal and there's someone out there that thinks that's a great thing.
