not too sure if this is the right part of the forum to have this, but here it goes. in a few months my current living situation comes to an end, and i am going to be in need of a new place to call home. i would much rather be on my own, but am not sure that my current income will allow that, so i thought that i might try to find a lifestyle friendly living situation. if there is any one in south san joaquin county CA, let me know, all orientations are welcome.

Sir, if acceptable You might look into HUD housing in Your area; i believe they charge on a sliding scale.

You might also look into Section 7 (8?), although i am not as sure how it works. Call Your state representative's local office & ask for advice.

Finally, You might consider an ad if Your city has a BDSM paper or a sign on a bulletin board at a permanent BDSM site; as well as word of mouth at munches.

I will be getting one *grins*.

A friend of mine needs a place to stay, and perhaps you should start there. Look to see if any of your friends, vanilla or otherwise need a place to stay. They are people you can get along with, hang out with, and hopefully live with for a while. You already know which of your friends you work well with and which you merely tolerate, something you aren't likely to know right off the bat with a prospective roomate you have yet to meet. I lucked out, this friend of mine is my primary play partner *grins again*. I can't wait. [:D]

thanks all, i wont have to go as far as hud, but was just hoping to fins some lifestyle friendly people in my area who might be interested in living in a kink friendly environment

Wish I lived on your side of the of the country, as I myself have just moved to a new town in FL and am looking for new digs. Such a situation might have been ideal me at the moment.

From what I've seen of MyBDSM, their listing of groups is pretty slim. You might have better luck finding kink friendly locals with SceneUSA:
