I'll have to say the John Birch Society is a little wacky for me.  I hold a lot of paleo-conservative views, but the JBS are some wacky mother-fuckers.  The New World Order, black helicopters, FEMA concentration camps, UN troops taking our guns, blah, blah, blah is just too 'comic book' for me.  We definitely have a bloated, bureaucratic, Federal government with her fingers is more pies than was ever intended.  But I don't believe in international conspiracies between bankers, Zionists, and the Anti-Christ.

A quick google search of John Birch,leads you to a Time magazine story on the John Birch an interesting man to say the least...who actually helped lead Jimmie Doolittle back to American control after his famous raid.

No problem Owner.  I've met a few of these guys before at our local city board and county board meetings.  About ten years ago, we had a really bad problem with illegal dumping outside the city limits in the county.  The Justices of the Peace wanted to pass an ordinance requiring all county residents to sign up for a trash pick-up service.  Prior to the ordinance, we had 2 or 3 county sites where people brought their trash and dumped it off on their own.  The problem with that is that people weren't dumping their trash there.  You had assholes that were turning their properties into private trash dumps, and they brought the property values down for their neighbors.  The local John Birch assholes showed up at the Quorum Court meeting and gave excrutiatingly long diatribes about the bar-codes on the sides of the required, county-issued trash cans.  It was fucking ridiculous.  The bar codes were there simply for record keeping and billing purposes.  It made it easier for the sanitation service and the customer.  But HELL NO, the JBS weren't having it.  I was sitting there with a friend of mine, laughing my ass off.  Failure to comply with the ordinance would be a misdemeanor (like a traffic ticket), so these morons claimed it was a conspiracy to give folks criminal records and take their guns away.  Again....fucking hillarious for the absolute stupidity behind these claims.  I had my fill of the John Birch Society right then and there.

Mike, he (is) our president, I just didn't vote for him like you did so I used the Irish term, "yer man."
I didn't watch the video or whatever it was.
I'm with slaveboy, I don't associate with those JBS people either. But, like him or not you have to admit that Pat Buchanan has been right on the money on a lot of things.
Now, since you think I'm so fond of "isolationism" whatever you mean by that I'm not.
I think we should have dealings with many countries but *certainly* not all!
From where we are today we really should move *towards* isolationism as the pendulum has swung so far in the opposite direction.
Also, I don't want to be foreign countries' "friends."  Everytime they start that shit they turn on the foreign aid spiggotts and we start getting more immigration from our "friends." Anytime a foreigner calls America their "friend" they're looking for money! Our money, the U.S. Taxpayers. I don't want to give them any.
And I don't want to get involved in the internal squabbles of foreign countries.
If two guys were fighting outside a bar I'm not going to cross the street and get involved in it.
They have their own countries to run they don't want us there!
What's been going on under Bush and Clinton is nothing less than *interfereance.*
Look at Clinton and Kosovo/ Bosnia, we never should have gone over there!
One time in Ireland a guy told me that Clinton made Europe "look real" bad by doing that.
I want my govt focusing on the U.S. like I'm *paying* them to do!!!

My JBS experience.

Helping a friend who was bad with keeping up and dealing with NJDMV issues,I took her to a regional office to hash out her fines and get her drivers license back.She was driving without a valid one.

Walking in the office,there`s a guy w/ a table full of brochures by the door.Took 20 or 30 steps to get there and we make eye contact.He`s talking with someone as I gaze at the table and see JBS stuff.My friend glances a moment too and as we turn to walk in,the guy snaps at me and I quote

" So you don`t want to do anything about communist teachers in our public schools teaching our UMs?!"

I look back with a smirk and my friend who`s not worldly want`s to know what that`s all about.

We get in line and do the tasks, pay the moneys and an hour later we`re walking out with her new DL all happy.

The guy is there at the entrance though,lol,staring me down like as we pass.When we open the door he says,lol," Hah! I knew you would be back".lol  Like I had a choice.

Creepy.

No, I am well informed on what is happening in the world.  I am not a paranoid, delusional coward that hides away from the world and advocates that others do the same.  Do you even know what the word "Zionist" means?  Do you really believe that an evil cabal of Jews, bankers, and extra-worldly forces (ie. Anti-Christ) are bent on world domination and controlling your life?  If so, why do you believe that?  Why do you think you are so important to warrant that much interest?  The paranoia of folks that believe in this sort of thing really does fascinate me.  I can't begin to imagine how scary the world is for someone like you.  I feel sorry for you, I really do.
