Why do some present themselves clothed?

I would agree with a previous comment here stating there is a difference between a nude and a 'genital shot'.

It's extremely liberating for me.
I took them. I liked them.
They make me feel really great about myself.
For me, it's purely selfish reasons.
And it goes hand in hand with the sexuality that I feel.

i don't post "nekkid" or nearly-nekkid" pics on line because,
1) i don't like the way i look in pics -- even with clothes on..don't even wanna go nekkid..lol..

2) i don't post nudes for the same reason that i don't wear revealing clothes when i first meet someone. my eyes are in my head, not my chest, and i get tired of talking to the top of someone's head..lol

3) i need to get to know who someone is intellectually, spiritually and emotionally -- one of many reasons i don't respond to the profiles that have nude pics on them. Yes, the physical part is important to me, but so is all the rest.

4) i need someone who wants to get to know who i am intellectually, spirtually and emotionally -- if the hormones take over first, the rest is usually never even acknowledged.

and..after saying all of this.. i wonder sometimes if i have it all wrong.. (and no, i don't want to be convinced that i do..lol)

Perhaps they just want to show off their best assets, I never post nude pics of myself anywhere I prefer to be represented by a clear (though often overly arty) picture of my face. I find on most gay websites the guys who only have pics of their naughty parts are usually just trying to draw attention away from there face.
