I agree with whoever said to let the market place vote on it....Myself, I don't watch any "Reality" shows, so it really is neither here nor there....however I do think its in rather poor taste, especially given the fact that the producers went to him (at least that's how I read the article)

I would prefer not to see this reality show hit the tv schedule.  It's not something I will watch if it does.

That being said, at what point do we grant forgiveness and allow him to move forward with his life?  If it's a case scenario where he serves his time and does the legal penance for breaking the law, aren't we supposed to welcome him back with toleration, in the hopes that the bad is gone?  And please, let's not forget that there are most likely murderers and all sorts of bad boys enjoying great careers in the NFL.

He has some rights Katy...an expectation of my forgiveness to the point where I am a consumer of the product he is peddling...ie: Michael Vick ....is not one of them.There is no constitutional guarantee of access to  a high profile career.

Vick was a quarterback.  A very good quarterback.  The Atlanta Falcons were banking on him to rebuild their team.  He earned millions of dollars a year.

He had it all.  Money.  Prestige.  Hundreds of thousands looking up to him.  Good looks.  Undoubtedly his pick of women.

But his cruel streak won out.  It destroyed his future.  There's a good possibility that despite his enormous talent at the most critical position on a football team, he may well never play a game again.

I find it sad to see someone who had it all, lose it all.

Hi Steven, I don't think this will ruin his future provided he hires some good PR. The public are quite fickle, one only has to look at disgraced celebrities (including paedophiles and murderers) in general to see that the public will still pay to watch them despite their sickening deviations, even if it's to yell at the screen, "You vile bastard!". Notoriety sells and always has and how he moves forward with his life is in his hands.

It's strange to see all of the outrage against Michael Vick from a society that silently endorses systemic, gratuitous brutality against animals by the corporate/industrial food complex.

And yet shannie there is justification for those practices...whether or not you or anyone else beleives it is justification enough(and I am not taking a position here,your statement encompasses too wide an arc for me to do so)With dog fighting there is no possible justification acceptable.

I am talking about unnecessary brutality, not using animals for food.   If the reason for such brutality (against millions of animals, every day) is "maximizing profits" for corporate entities, is that reason enough?

I vote we create a reality programme using Michael Vick as a training dummy for guard dogs.

Exactly.  The defense of animals (outside of the prescribed context) is a joking matter!  So why the outrage against Vick?

Apparently he didn't have it all. It seems to me he was pretty lacking in integrity, honor, compassion and a sense of ethical behavior, to name just a few. I'll go as far as to say I think the only remorse he probably feels is that he got caught.  I have no sympathy and certainly no pity for such a man.

Far better reason,I would suspect ,than the gambling or just plain blood lust of Vick and crew.....

Well people gotta eat.Of course it`s going to become industrial.

Doesn`t mean we can`t treat them humanely and not let suffering be driven up by a profit motive.

~~~~~~~~~~~
A suggestion for a Vick reality show.
Vick,hands bound above his head without trousers on,his dick and legs slathered in whatever makes dogs bite.
Loose the dogs of reality!
