Wow that website made me really sad. So many wasted lives, so much destruction. So many of them uneducated.

I wonder why many chose 'none'. Remorse? Fear?
Ugh what a sad thing to read.

It is one thing to sit and talk about the death penalty from the comfort of your home, another thing to look at their photographs and realize each of those are human beings.

My last request would be for a straight razor. I'd rather slice my wrists than deal with the Dead Man Walking wait.

Just a cup of hemlock for me - the last act of defiance for being falsely convicted by a corrupt court system.

Hey,I shave with a straight razor!

Sorry it made you sad, camille. I figured it'd be of interest...I for one am stunned how much those guys can put away! There's a meal for eight or nine some of them ate...

Hi Fitz,
It is sad, but this is  a common game chefs play.  It is interesting to see their results.

It is also interesting to see the results on here.

I just see a difference between people playing last meal, and reading actual last meals. It struck me that so many were young and uneducated. Yeah they made wrong choices and most shouldn't be a part of a healthy society.

I've never been exactly anti death penalty.. I am however anti waste. That site was filled with wasted lives, those taken by the criminals and the criminals themselves.

Okies I will hush and leave ya'll to the fun part. I tend to be far too empathetic for my own good and shouldn't have looked to begin with. The faces of killers should not bring me to tears, but they do.

Never apologise for empathising,it's a rare gift.

LadyPact -> RE: The Menu of your Last Meal. (4/20/2009 12:01:41 PM)

Sorry it made you sad, camille, but I decided that I wanted to play anyway.

Last meal:

Appetizer - Those great fried mushrooms that I always ordered when I lived in Co Spgs and yes, I want them brought with the blue cheese dressing.

A small cup of cheese and broccoli soup with a warm roll.

Main course - Prime rib, has to be rare, served with shrimp, a loaded baked potato, and I have to more broccoli on the side.

Desert - It would have to be some of that chocolate cheesecake from that fabulous little place that's across from that huge hotel downtown.

And, yes, I do want it to come with Bacardi Limon and Diet Pepsi.

(Eating all of the above in one sitting probably would make Me sick, but I'd at least want a taste of all of it.)

The last request -

I don't want anything that most people would think of as great.  I'd just want to sit for a while and talk with My family.  Hubby at My side, clip at My feet, and Boo in My lap, plus A and D in the room.  If I had that, I could go out ok.

Some skag straight up should do the trick.

kuriouswitch -> RE: The Menu of your Last Meal. (4/25/2009 1:54:45 AM)

Main meal:
Indian food; two beef samosas, naan, basmati rice, chicken tandori, chickpeas
Indian Fry Bread
barq's root beer
french fries
ice cold milk
corn fritters and fried okra and good homestyle southern bisquits with honey

dessert:
blackberry cobbler

final request: to see my family, give my kids and my nephews and nieces hugs and kisses

Timothy McVeigh had an all-dessert last meal - two pints of mint chocolate-chip ice cream.

I found a list a few days ago of actual last meal requests....there was one that stood out a mile: just a cup of tea and a few cookies.

W/we looked at it and immediately thought: "That's gotta be a brit"...and by god, W/we were right!

Next surprise was the huuuge evil looking tank of a guy who ordered a birthday cake with pink candles...

Here's the list

For me, it'd have to be the all-you-can-eat chinese/japanese buffet. Suuuushi!
