MidnightKat5000 -> Effe you for not wanting to effe me. (4/17/2009 9:54:17 PM)

"Hey baby, how ‘bout we head back to my place for a lil 'fun"?  Waddya say?"
"I'm sorry but I’m not interested."
"Well then fuck you cunt!"   Now, assuming this conversation was played out word for word, can someone please explain it?  Are men really that insecure that when they get turned down, even politely that they become that defensive?   I just receive a message saying "f off".  Out of nowhere form one I have never spoken with. This is nothing new.  After a few email exchanges I now know what it was in reference to my profile stating I am not looking for anyone over 45.  Why am I not looking for someone over 45?  It's quite simply really, it's called attraction.  For some reason, people tend to fault me and others for having their own personal tastes and preferences.  To a certain degree we are not responsible for what we like and do not like.  This would be like faulting a heterosexual man for not liking other men.  Where's the sense?

*lol* Yesterday, I had a man call me looking for a certain type of humiliation. (a type that I totally disagree with, but agreed to do it anyway *doh*)
So we talk for ten minutes until his paid time is running out; he's submissive and agreeable through the whole call, but then just before his time is up, he says "well you weren't very good, bitch"
Uhm...ok....so that's why you paid me $30 to talk to you for 10 minutes?
Seems he coulda figured it out before that. *lol*

People are kooky. You just haveta laugh sometimes, yanno?

dreamerdreaming -> RE: Effe you for not wanting to effe me. (4/17/2009 10:17:01 PM)

The people you describe are assholes. Spending any time getting upset about them behaving as assholes do (when there's nothing you can do to change them) is letting them get their desired result. To upset you. So don't let them. Practice a smug giggle as you block and delete them.

Suggest that you route everyone who doesn't fit your age (or other) requirements to your bulk folder here. That way you have the option of deleting the emails unread, and you can block these people before they get a chance to spew venom at you. Problem solved.

I am bisexual, polyamorous, and kinky.

Some people confuse this with being unselective in my partnering.

DarkSteven -> RE: Effe you for not wanting to effe me. (4/17/2009 11:07:03 PM)

When I walk into a supermarket to buy food, I spend my time dealing with the foods I want.  If I spent all my time swearing at the pineapple because it was not an apple and complaining that the pork wasn't what I want, everyone would think I was an idiot.

If I were to waste time with all the people who tell me No, I would be an idiot, and a bitter one at that.

OP, you look cute and desirable.  But it won't destroy my life that I'm too old for you.

LadySweetOrSour -> RE: Effe you for not wanting to effe me. (4/17/2009 11:18:39 PM)

Ah, I have had several emails from males who are unimpressed by my profile. It's very hard to understand why they take the time to type an email, if I am not what they are looking for.

They appear to think that everything is directed towards them. They seem to have little idea that they are just one of hundreds, and not that important in the grand scheme of things.

Perhaps just too much time on their hands?

I don't know that it's insecurity.  It seems to me that most often it's frustration and misdirected anger, set off by that little spark of humiliation that occurs when one is turned down.  Again.  I assume that many of these fellows have been at it for a while, trying to connect with someone but just not having any luck, and they just don't understand it.

Long ago I'd try to talk to some of these guys and find out what the deal was.  It was a big waste of time.  When I did get the story, it boiled down to, "Everyone else is getting laid.  Why not me?!?"  Pretty pathetic.

LadyLupineNYC -> RE: Effe you for not wanting to effe me. (4/18/2009 5:20:51 AM)

Why be rejected when you can do the 'rejecting'?

I get situations like that all the time...even walking down the street- they cat call, I ignore, I get called a cunt or fat or a lesbian.  In my mind I think "well, you were the one who called out (or emailed, or asked on a date) to me so what's that say about you?.

Not to nitpick but if you met someone socially and were attracted to him and a few minutes into the conversation you found out he was 46 would all of that attraction simply fizzle away? We are all entitled to any preferences we like. I prefer tall brunettes but it's a preference and not a cutoff. I loved the part about likening age range preferences to sexuality and then asking "where's the sense?".

Having said all that some people just don't handle rejection well and from a gender standpoint men are probably the bigger offenders. Historically we are the 'askers' so we have had to bear the brunt of the majority of the rejections. Not an excuse but a possible explanation.

Maybe she feels she has a good idea of the types of people (age group etc.) that she finds attractive. Having a preference saves a bit of wasted time on both sides and also gives the person that does fit her needs more of an inclination to respond. People only see it as negative but equally it's a positive approach because she is actually saying if you are in this age group then respond because this is what I am looking for.

How could you not have an accurate estimation of someone’s age after not only seeing them but talking with them? Most people of different age ranges have generational interests that date them conversationally.  i.e. musical tastes popular culture etc.

Try a cucumber if you want her to go away and do something else.

My comment referred to an arbitrary age cutoff not age groups.

How else do you distinguish by age if not in an arbitrary way?

Perhaps someone is 36 considers themselves younger looking/feeling but is still outside the limits set. Age is a very arbitrary thing we are not often the age we think we are but people that don't know us need a way to limit their responses to those they are looking for. There is always the exception to the rule but if the rule gives you enough to sort through then why bother with the exceptions to it?

FR

Not the first time this has happened and they are always my favourite chats. On a chat site where it clearly says we are looking for a WOMAN to join us

male: hi just seen your pic and you are gorgeous
me: thanks
male: read your profile and you want a woman. I will f**k you
me: thanks but I am not interested in other men
male: you are stunning and I really want to shag you
me: thanks but not interested in other men
male: well you are an old slag anyway and so fu**ing ugly nobody would touch you anyway

Of course the exchange is shortened by quite a bit particularly the grovelling "you are stunning" bit and the "sex with me will be amazing" part

They just make my night. Master always knows when I get one of these exchanges and they usually make me disolve in fits of giggles.

Bless their little hearts and for god sake someone give them at least half a brain please!

littlewonder -> RE: Effe you for not wanting to effe me. (4/18/2009 9:46:32 PM)

women on sites such as this one are seen as well..sluts..sleezy and easy.

It's the nature of the beast.

I tend to just delete those emails without even a single response since I already know they'll come back with the response you stated. Not worth the effort or time.

Either delete or put on ignore.
