In a previous response, I mentioned that the Asian women I've known (Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese) all had firmer breasts and thighs than the Germanic, Italic, and Gallic women that I've known.

Just curious ... what nationalities have you played with BDSM-wise, and, well, have you noted any differences (or, are we all, when it comes to our predilections, the same in the end)?

I have played with people from lots of different cultural and ethnic back grounds and they all have qualities I love.

My experience is that I love guys from a latino borderline machismo kind of culture.  They tend to naturally take charge of their girlfriend even before the whole authority transfer topic is brought up.  For those raised deep inside this culture, it is second nature and much more comfortable for them to take and keep control.  Which I love because it feels natural and they are more intuned to my needs.  Of course...all the normal disclaimers about stereotypes and sweeping generalizations apply.  But yep. :)

Aw come on pumpkin, generalisation much. You've known what maybe two or three in person? The rest masturbatery literature and ya really can't tell how firm someones breasts are from seeing them in a film or on paper.

OK. OK. I agree. But I was wondering ... for example, the Asians I've known all throw their hands up and let the guy do the pushin ... whereas the Europeans I've known are much more active participants. There MUST be cultural differences amongst us kinksters ... (that's my hypothesis). I'm all for the "we're all the same" but I've been around too long to think that it's true. A motorcycle isn't a car while they're both motor vehicles. Anyone who doesn't recognize there are cultural differences is either ignorant, intelligent, or a fool. I just don't know them so I was huntin' to see if there were any known cultural generalizations we could prosper from.

For example, the prudishness of the Americans when it comes to breast feeding (admittedly not a kink, per se, for most of us) is vastly different than that which other cultures perform the act in public. The openness of quite legal prostitution in most European countries is vastly different than the hidden prostitution inherent in the American culture, where you have to peruse a web site to find all the reviews of all the kinksters offering themselves for hire. I'd wager, not having been there, that Amsterdam's culture is quite different than, say, Salem Massachusetts.

That's all I was looking for. If we find out something new, culturally or physically, then that's great. Otherwise, well, we're all the same in the end (as was one of the possible suppositions initially). Your experience makes the difference; not mine.

Don't have that experience with international slaves as yet. However in the spirit of the heading to this thread, my Kink from Australia was in my youth way back when, was to attach a wire brush to a broom handle and wait till someone was sitting on the dunny in the back yards and enjoying a well deserved crap. OP, I really don't think about people that way. And I don't do casual D/s, or casual sex so even if I did think like that, I haven't had enough BDSM partners to make a proper sampling anyway. So it'd just be anecdotal observations. That's what you'll get here anyway, so I guess that's what you're after. But the whole idea is offensive to me even though you seem to be posing the question innocently enough. Your picture makes you seem friendly, and a bit goofy somehow so that mitigates my annoyance a bit. :o)  I'm not feeling very well right now so that's the best I can do, for a backhanded compliment.

If I thought someone were automatically thinking of me in terms of my race, ethnicity or nationality, and judging me by that, and my physical traits, I would think that person is really shallow. MLK died a long time ago, and people are still that shallow to this day. Frustrating, to say the least. Do you want to be judged by physical and genetic traits? The Nazis did that. Ew.

Amsterdam actually hasn't much of a kink scene. Prostitution yes. Kink, little. Not having been there, I'd wager SF, Austin, Seattle, Chicago, NY and probably some other places in the US have much more to offer in terms of kink.

To be clear(er), I wasn't asking for "my" opinion whether there are reasonably well defined sexually cultural differences amongst kinksters from around the world ...

I was asking if you've actually experienced any clearly cultural differences (my hypothesis is that there are well defined differences; yet, certainly that hypothesis has not carried any weight here ... and that's fine ... if it is false).

I'll toss my "assumptions" out there, into the ring, at the risk of being attacked for being a Fascist ... but I "presumed" the Germans were, in general, more hard core, in their kink, than the French (based on my very crude knowledge of films coming out of each) .... ... ...

Also, it seemed Eastern European spankers were a hello'va lotta rougher (100 cane strokes with blood and welts) than the British (whose films I've seen absolutely bored me with their tumidity as much as the Czech films shocked me that they can even hire models to pose for them twice).

Likewise, if you've ever been bored to tears by a pixelated Japanese film, you'll not be able not to notice the combination of the the age of the female actors, and the horrid moving pixelation of the areas of interest ... such that the culture in Japan absolutely must be different than ours, if these films bear any witness to that fact. (As an aside, certainly you've noticed the dire miniscularity of the Asian men's penises? Or is that a figment of my imagination?)

Certainly, in the mainstream press of the Italians, you'll notice an absolutely huge cultural difference in the way the female body is portrayed, as compared to the Puritanical USA press.

Personally, I feel there must be reasonably well defined kink cultural differences that are so vast as to be noticeable in normal one-on-one human interactions around the world, just as they appear obvious from the few films that I've seen ...

But, I admit, before anyone else, that I don't have enough experience for myself to carry that un-tested assumption to the fore. I tried here, and,  well, I guess my observations, however scattered and incomplete as they are, must be off kilter, as they are not borne of fruit in this particular scholastic endeavor.

Well I have visited Amsterdam, and there is a big rubber fetish scene there.

The Clinic is also a world recognised event, aswell as rubber stores like, Absolute Danny which is an amazing rubberists dream to visit.

There are lots of BDSM hotels, events and private parties, not only whores in windows.

I recommend the live sex shows too, they were quite interesting to watch.

It is interesting you club together quite a few areas of the US, in comparison with a little part of Holland lol.

I think that's possible more to do with government censorship than tameness and the fact that many UK men are big on spanking!
I have played with Japanese and Chinese women and don't particularly find them much different to English girls apart from perhaps being a little more adventurous (not so slow about things). Oh and they have the most amazing thick hair thats great to pull [:D] . I prefer to do bondage and suspension with Oriental girls because they are usually built like sparrows and look so asthetically pleasing. The few Chinese Mistresses I know tend to be pretty hardcore.
I have also played with a few Canadian, Astralian, American and Arabic and I can't say there was any notable contrast apart from perhaps the Arabic who was fairly inhibited and carried a huge guilt complex.
I have also been to clubs abroad and found them to be far tamer than the English clubs.
