Being thick-skinned does not equal wall by the way. Sure in some perhaps. In many though it is perhaps a degree of self-knowing/caring where other peoples responses do not have the same sort of impact that might have been possible before. Knowing and loving oneself is a sure way to help assuage this sort of experience. Being extremely sensitive as your persona vibrates across to me is a good thing. It can also be painful in our present day society, especially if you are male. In some ways it can be more painful I think. It is ultimately a good thing and taking time to get to know yourself and care deeply about yourself you will grow a thick skin too but it will be made out of you, not some sort of tough denial, deflection or superficiality.

I'm not sure who on the site has been responding to you in such a manner, but you will find that many message board regulars (at least in my experience) lean towards devoted relationships rather than flings. Nevermind the internet, you'll find people whining about thing about you in any part of life. Keep on moving along.

Whilst i think it's awful you are getting these kind of mails i do wonder if you are being a bit over sensitive to them.
Why? Because i have just read your profile and you seem from it to be a very sensitive person, even bordering on a bit sappy.
I personally can see why your profile would not appeal to everyone, the hearts and flowers approach seems to be a rarity on here, especially in men. Having said that it is a beautifully written profile and there is no excuse for people telling you you do not belong here or other such.
I think perhaps if your profile is to stay as it is and i think it should, you just need to grow thicker skin.

sometimes you have to through a thousand bits of sand to find one flea in it hence you may have to go through a lot of people to find a match there are no gaurentees I do know it takes work alot on here do not want to work at anything they want it easy handed to them on a silver plater lol as if take time to make time to do the right things and fate will open its doors
