I remember late one summer night I was maybe all of 13, seeing her on the old Tomorrow with Tom Snyder....I thought wow...a porn star, on TV no less....and she used to be the Ivory Snow Baby....I was amazed!....of course at 13 I think I was probably REALLY EXCITED "so to speak".... Sorry to hear she has passed....Behind the Green Door was the next one after Deep Throat then came the Devil in Miss Jones(I think...it's been a long time)....and of course at the time scandalous!

I have fond memories of Marilyn and I'm saddened to hear of her passing.  My college used to show porno movies before finals as a way of blowing off steam, along with throwing J's off the roof.  I went to see that movie with a bunch of friends, a blanket, and a bottle of Glenlivet.  Let's just say that later that evening, I had some first hand experience of what had been shown, which at that point in my life, was still pretty much a novel experience.  (OK, I was a late starter.)  Hence, I've always felt I owed Marilyn something of a debt.

I also loved her in "Rabid" the David Cronenberg film she did. As I recall, he also had a gig with Playboy channel shortly after they signed on to cable. Last thing I saw here in (where she still looked wonderful, in a hot, MILFy sort of way...) was in a show for the History channel, "The History of Pornography." Her work in Behind the Green Door, Insatiable and so many others helped to move the American XXX film into something that was far more accepted.

(Too bad home video came around and crashed the production values... mostly by offering a TON of crappily made product instead of the more serious stuff shot on film.)

Mark Fydrich was found dead today too, also at age 56.

Something's going on here. You can't tell me this is a coincidence.

Edit: I'm reminded of the last words of John Adams; "Jefferson still lives," not knowing that Jefferson had died a few hours earlier (on the 50th anniversary of the signing of teh Declaration of Independence, odly enough). I picture Fydrich lying beneath that truck on his farm, and with his last breath, gasping, "Marilyn Chamnbers still lives!"

OK. That's probably quite enough. I'll stop posting for the night.

AOL even had an article about Chambers passing, and a link to an interview done with some very cheesey looking guy, probably from the late 70's based on his hair and stache.

She begins to explain that she likes S&M, and the fellow asks if she'd like to be tied and blinfolded on set. She says, rather excitedly, "Yes." Then the idiot continues with the interview.

Now, what man in his right mind wouldn't have taken her by the hand and gotten started with ropes and blindfolds immediately?

Of course a cute 19 yr. old blonde do'n a big black man was as big a part of the 'scandal' as was anything else about it and especially in the 60's.
