MzMia -> Save the planet and scratch your behind? (4/12/2009 7:15:25 PM)

I just found out that using soft toilet paper is bad for the environment.
Evidently, they need to use the fibers from live tree's to make soft toilet paper![8|]
People don't appear to be buying much recycled toilet paper.

How willing are you to help the environment, and give up using that soft toilet paper?
How committed are you to really saving our planet?

How many of us, really like it rough?[:D]

All I can say is that I steadfastly refuse to use Izal as toilet paper... it's like sliding down a carving knife.

False dichotomy.

I was going say that I realized this thread was meant to be a bit "tongue in cheek."  But then the mental picture made me go "eewwwwww!"  [:D]

Have they explored the potential ramifications of drivers changing speed as they shift in the seat to deal with the itch and burning of inflamed hemorrhoids?  These things are all connected you know.

     I buy my ultra-quilted Northern at Wal-Mart, btw.  [:D]

I'll give up a lot of things to go green, but saving the planet does not include accepting it to be a pain in the ass. Sorry, Harley toilet paper (rough, tough, don't take crap off nobody) is not on my list of things to use. I'm sticking with my Charmin.

I save my corn cobs from dinner.

Anybody want to come over for my Memorial Day BBQ?

These people don't want to go green!
 Use the recycled toilet paper!
THAT is the ultimate sacrifice.

~FR~

I don't/won't use recycled paper... but I do use paper that decidedly less softer than most people seem to consider acceptable :P

The Poles use imported recycled toilet paper from the Ukraine, which has tiny splinters so you can't tell when the mosquitoes get you in the dunny, or the various insects that inhabit the dunnies. A rub here and a scrub there and you end up with something that looks like the surface of Mars.. At least nobody will know you've got zits on your butt.

Ewwwwww stella!
I read that many Europeans use recycled toilet paper.

I guess after a while, your butt toughens up?

Fan of Charmin here. Listen, we have some major talent living on this Earth. One of us could invent green soft toilet paper?

Green and soft, it isnt that difficult is it?

MzMia -> RE: Save the planet and scratch your behind? (4/12/2009 9:36:20 PM)

I agree!
We should be able to make soft green recyclable toilet paper!

UncleNasty -> RE: Save the planet and scratch your behind? (4/12/2009 9:42:25 PM)

The only way for our species to truly go green is to jump off the bridge. Being human and alive pretty assures we're damaging the planet.

I splurge and buy moist wipes instead of toilet paper.  I'm just a clean freak, and two of those wipes will get the job done.  I've been thinking about buying one of those bidet attachments for the toilet.  I've seen them online.

pahunkboy -> RE: Save the planet and scratch your behind? (4/13/2009 6:00:02 AM)

toilet paper is lately a big issue to me.  After using the good stuff- who wants the thin stuff?

the hand should not touch the feces.   if the paper is so then then finger hits the poo- then that puts germs onto the finger.

then if one uses more of it to get it done- then it is of no thrift.

when feces gets onto the hands then one must use ample hot water and soap.   it can take a few minutes to run the hot water from one side of house to the other.

I recall when toilet paper was madein colors.  Man those were the days.   Toilets also were made in colors like blue and gold.  Pretty cool now that everything is white.

I might add your key board has more germs on it then the toilet.     think on it.
