Owner59 -> Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 6:37:57 AM)

Wish you all well.

sharainks -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 6:46:45 AM)

I wonder if Easter goes much past bunnies and eggs for most people?

I'm a Christian and the day means a whole lot more to me than that.  For me it means that come judgement day Jesus will stand up after all my sins have been recounted to me and state that he paid the price for me.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!

and no the Easter do not go past the chocolate eggs, bunnies and the oh so cute little yellow chicklings*goochiegoooooooooooo*

i mean..how does this not make your heart melt http://trailrides.homestead.com/baby_chick.jpg[:)]

MarsBonfire -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 6:59:24 AM)

Let's see.. either it's about Jesus coming back from the dead like a zombie in a Romero picture... (just before being taken up in a beam of light it what appears to be a UFO encounter...)

...or else it's a pagan celebration of fertility. (Yay!...more animals, healthy crops, and" we got through the winter alive, let's hope for a good season this time around, I wanna fuck in celebration!")

Gee, which one should I pick?

We celebrate traditionally by going downtown after a Saturday night and rolling away the stoned.

Followed by the much beloved Taser Bunny Hunt where the fur really flys.

Genuflect.

Open season on Christians again today.  I wish that people on here would show the same tolerance for others that they expect for themselves.

AGirlInterrupted -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 7:21:55 AM)

Well said sharainks!  Tolerance is a big word for some people, and many more people do not understand the definition of it.  Let's face it, the world has gone to hell in a hand-basket....*shakes head in disgust*[:'(]

Happy Easter to you too, Owner59...and to everyone else, too!  [sm=waves.gif]

Nah, I'll settle for the bunnies and eggs.

Oh, and those little chocolate rabbits.  Can't forget those.

AGirlInterrupted -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 7:25:41 AM)

oohhhh the Cadbury Bunny....yummmy! heheh

kiwisub12 -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 7:26:44 AM)

I fail to see what is so wrong with chocolate bunnies.   Yummm.
and if some see more in the day then more power to them - maybe literally![:D]

I'm a bit of a heathen myself but i fully subscribe to the Christian ethos - minus the organised thing. Of course, my problem is i wonder why thithing 10% is going to put me at the head of the line to heaven - or why a god would want me to.  But like i said, if organised melts your butter, i don't have a problem with it.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!

Does tolerance for others include not preaching in everyone's face?

Ah come on sharainks.

Jesus had to have a sense of humor.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Thank you.

What you do in your home and your church is your business. If you bring it to a public forum I have as equal a right to laugh at or redicule, as others do to preach.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 7:35:53 AM)

A very Happy Easter to you too, Owner, and to eveyrone.

@ Subtlebutterfly, that's such a cute picture. The freeholder of our property had four like that, several months later they've lost their fluffy cuteness and their noisy squabbling just a few feet from my bedroom window is a reminder that where creatures are concerned, cutenss is a temporary state and even the local tomcats in the neighbourhood refuse to mess with those vicious beaks.

when my son was small, Easter was all about the little chicks and baskets he'd make for the family. I noticed mine always had worn away areas of the mini chocolate eggs where he'd taken sneaky licks at the candy coating!

This post doesn't exibit much tolerance for those individuals who like bunnies and chocolate. I think your first sentence showed a rather thinly veiled contempt.  Perhaps i am wrong -but apparently others felt it as well, judging by the responses to your post.   I think you might need to examine your beliefs for tolerance and love for others. If you had posted something along the lines of "Easter means to me.........   best to everyone" then i don't think you would have got the negative answers.

What's wrong with the ones Lindt are advertising is that they show a little bell hanging around the bunny's neck attached to a tiny velvet collar. The chocolate is a relatively small consolation. I had wanted to tie them on Reality's chastity device so that he tinkled wherever he went today. Bah for false advertising!

pahunkboy -> RE: Happy Easter everyone (4/12/2009 7:54:35 AM)

Easter was always special.   As a kid- Christmas was dads side of family.   Easter moms side in PA.  So each year we would take a trip.  Back then it was always that special place far away.

Even today I long for the bellowing laughter of my grampa, laughs of mom, the sound of the door opening and closing.  The perk of coffee.  I wish I could relive it.

My brother called me yesderday.  I hope to talk to him today.
