larry summers IS one of the dudes who made the mess possible.

Bankers are in govt., fund (buy) what they need of govt. to get what ever money, laws, influence they need and is a practice that's about 50-60 years old.

Anybody who is/was anybody in all three...Clinton's, Bush's and Obama's treasury dept. are/were from Goldman-Sachs or another of the biggies on wall street. That will not change anytime soon.

Look what happened to Paul O'Neil (Chairman of the Rand Corp. CEO and Chairman of Alcoa) soon as he said the right things. For example Bush would have defecits of $500 Billion or more every year and it would take a 66% tax increase across the board to pay future obligations and that debt.

He said it was high-time that western taxpayers no longer fund the IMF or the World Bank to bailout western banks for their bad loans. He also spread the word before formally coming out that Bush planned on invading Iraq as soon as taking office 1/01.

Not surprising is it that he had to go and quickly too ? Less than 2 yrs. Kinkroids he followed guess who as sec. of treas. ? Larry Summers.

Our whole govt. is an INSIDE JOB...and they are doing a job on us.

I guess we spent alot of money in the past 90 days.

It is corrupt.  Summers was key in the derivatives mess.    Surely the blame spreads over many years. I dont ever remember it being not corrupt.  Tho it had seemed less corrupt years ago.

No matter how old one gets- it is always getting worse.  I do tho- feel bad on how we squanderred recent years.  As a society we very much dropped the ball.  And now the mess we leave to everyone.   ouch.

Summers and his banking buddies share lot of money into each other's pockets. Although, the most important flaw I see Summers has are his views: he represents Bush-Clinton-Bush corporate globalist economic model. For example in one of his interviews few months ago he said that manufacturing is not prospective and important in US future development. This is how your government thinks. I would argue against it.

While I agree that Summers is one of the most arrogant persons on this earth, he is the mortal economic enemy of Greenspan and Rueban (sic) et al.  I have been waiting for the administration to let him loose, there will be only road kill left because as arrogant as he is, he is even smarter and more articulate.  So far we have not heard the real Summers speak. I do not agree with all  I think he will say but he should be let go so we know the  real plans the administration has.   As far as as the amount he made in the private sector, he was the President of Harvard. If he made less than 10 million I would be surprised.
