Hi All, so I've had my first in person meeting with someone that may become my Master. In my quest for the perfect Master, I've received a number of email contacts - some good, some not. I feel the need to meet some of these others in person, in a public place of course, before committing myself to one of them. Is that OK? I think it sounds reasonable but was wondering how everyone else goes about this. Thanks!!

Some doms will get uppity about you doing that. That's good because then you know which ones to scratch off the list!

I think it is far wiser of you to meet multiple people prior to making a commitment. It will help you learn what you seek in a Dominant. Commiting to the first person who shows you any interest only prevents you from finding the person who you can share this journey with (unless you happen to be one of the lucky ones and managed to have a fantastic connection with said first person). If your potential Master does not understand your need to learn more from others, then perhaps you should reconsider them being your potential in the first place. Good luck.

Hi, and welcome to the forums. To answer your question, yes, it's definitely okay for you to meet people in public. That's what a dating/social networking site is for, right? You don't have to commit to anyone right away. In fact, you should have several dates over a period of months before you accept a collar, IMO. Picking a master is just like picking a husband. You wouldn't marry the first guy you met at a bar just because he happened to have an engagement ring in his pocket. Take your time and get to know several people. Then pick the one who is most compatible with you. Best of luck.
