Geek mail is the price all women pay for posting a public profile, not just submissives.... There's a lotta men out there who have found the anonymity of the Net to be the perfect vehicle for being their true obnoxious selves without guilt or consequences! Think in terms of unsupervised kids loose in a lolly shop....

The problem is eternal but there's things you can do. Sorry to seem harsh but your own profile does tend to be the kinda magnet geeks are especially attracted to. What you've written is very personal and I'd suggest is better viewed by your one specific Dom/Master rather than just anyone who opens your profile. Yes, I know it's your profile and you *should* be able to write virtually what you want but it's also your geek mail you're dealing with.

I'd also suggest adding a small disclaimer that only mail from polite and/or sincere people can expect a response and then you're free to reply, ignore, block, delete etc at your leisure and with a clear conscience.

Where are YOU? What are the important values in your life? What are your joy? What are your quirks? What do you want people to know about you?

Your profile as it stands now has no true personality, could have come from a thousand sites on Ds and leaves nothing to go on BUT a sexy fantasy.

Amazing how the ignorant, selfish or arrogant can't grasp that there aren't any truly new topics of discussion, only new people discussing them.

I use a 5 button mouse and it's a simple thumb flex to back out of a topic that I have nothing positive to offer. Such a mouse is not expensive....

When someone creates a new profile, it pops on the "New" list which everyone can see.

The new fem subs get inundated with emails. It's a great way to throw them in the deep end and make them swim. Unfortunately what tends to happen is they come to the forums and ask about it. When this happens 4 times in one month...

The good news is that in about 2 days your name is off the new list and the count goes way down.

It's just emails, you are in control.

The emails won't stop no matter what you put in your profile (unless you change it to male), but you can cut down on a majority of them.

hello ...well i tend to ignore the sexual emails when i was getting mail from Doms before ....it shows a complete lack of manners and more on their part to me so i felt i didnt have to reply as a sign of respect as they didnt show any to me...what a way to meet a person, not a good first impression i say.

After all the shock and suprise and outrage and protest, this is a sexually oriented site.

Yes, it is bad manners to delve right into sexual issues in the first message, but protesting also strikes me as similar to complaining the food in an Indian restaurant is too hot.

But then everybody loves me, so who am I to say?
