Status: offline 		Correct me if I am wrong (I probably am), but this is a BDSM community and being such they should have in some way incorporated all aspects of BDSM play and lifestyles. Now I haven't been exactly 100% active on this forums or this site, as the internet is infinitely growing, and my search for Self bondage communities have come up empty.

But in my search for a community I repeatedly came across people who either are or once were on this site or a few other BDSM personals and communities. I'm not screaming and ranting that we need a forum dedicated solely to self bondage (That'd be just greedy) But I would like to take the time and invite people to share any and all self bondage experiances, techniques, and tips, with me and anyone who reads on here.

In the past I've been "found" several times in my selfbondage escapades one time was on purpose (Tied myself up for the gf at the time) and a few times were by my own fault (Ice didn't melt fast enough, batteries in the clock died, key fell in the wrong spot, rope got snagged on key ring, ect) I am willing to share any and all of my experiances with anyone who is interested. I won't post it now because I'm currently on a labtop which is beeping at me the battery is at 4% so I'll close this now and turn it to you the viewers, See everyone in a few hours maybe I'll drop a story.

I never 'got' self-bondage... what's your particular draw to it? How/what forms of bondage do you achieve on your own?

Status: offline 		I can do alot of bed bound, chair bound, some suspension bondage (Only when i know someone is going to be looking for me in 2-3 hours or less) I use alot of ropes, chains, hoods, spreader bars, time release locks (Ice, clock, electrical) I was a boyscout for 15 years so i can tie most kinds of knots effectively. I like chair bondage as well as whats called long crawls which is mobile bondage in a lose hogtie and you (the person tied up) has to venture around the house (or play area) and find the key to a lock, a pair of scissors or what ever ur release method is.

Status: offline 		It just isn't an interest for the majority of posters on this website; collarchat brings in a number of different demographics, while self-bondage is pretty specific. I recommend vising www.boundforum.com - you'll find a lot more SB'ers there.

Status: offline 		Thanks, already a member there, though it has been awhile (A few months) since i read through it. Since CM doesn't cater is why I am not asking for a SB section I just wanted to know if anyone out there has had any experiences between M/D or with a M/D wanting the s/s to perform SB? I guess I wasn't exactly 100% clear in my initial post for that I apologize.

So I'll rephrase my request/ post. If anyone would like to share stories of his/her experiences, techniques, tips, or fun scenarios I'd be more than willing to read, and give my honest opinion of said story. If you all share I'll share.

Status: offline 		I'm not so much of a self-binder as a self-whipper. For me, bondage is about giving up control to someone else, so self bondage, though I have experimented with it, doesn't do much for me.

However, the physical sensations of whipping do a lot to get me turned on, so once in a while, if I know I won't be disturbed or disturbing anyone else XD, I like to pull out my hand-made rope flogger and whip myself.

Status: offline 		Self Bondage....hmmm.  Well, i tried it a few times with ropes, kinda like trying bondage masturbation.  hahaha  It didn't "do" anything for me though, it's just not the same to me as when Sir does it.  Can you explain what it is you like so much about it?

The idea that anyone could happen upon me and I would be powerless to do anything about weather they wanted to whip me, use me as a sex toy, take photos of me and plaster the net with my pictures. I don't just solely do self bondage I am a very well trained sub when it comes to rope and chain bondage I just have problems with finding a dome who understands my needs it may be a communications issue on my part, or the fact that i have a simplely complex mind.

Back on topic what do i get out of it, nearly the same as I get from being dominated and submitting my every whim to a dome. I just think the thought of knowing I brought this upon myself no matter what the situation is adds to the helplessness in it all.

Hewre's an example in my earlier days of SB I used alot of slipping knots or sliding knots. Well I miss measured the distance I took up sprawled out on a bed and the two ropes to secure my wrists were about 3/4 of an inch to short. I thought no big deal I'll strech up and grab them, well sliding knots have some give to them and when i streched up the knots around my ankles tightened. Then once my wrists were inside the lops I relaxed pulling the two wrist knots tight. Also when i miss measured the distanhce of where my hands were I miss placed my scissors, 8 1/2 hours and two numb feet later my gf at the time found me, ball gagged, blindfolded, and exhausted from struggling against the ropes. Lets just say it wasn't a good night. She untied me from the bed then punished me (which I didn't enjoy) for being stupid enough not to measure twice and cut once.

It is completely up to "them" to put in what they want, in a site they pay for and work on. If you feel this is mandatory, you can set up your own site.

I've been know to do casual stuff when i masturbate, like hook my cuffs together, but it more just for the feel and I don't really get bound and it's not locked or tied. Somehow I don't think that is what you are interested in.

Status: offline 		I've done some self bondage in the past, mostly I was interested in what being found felt like/etc, and what a couple different kinds of ties felt like... and not having anyone to play with, that leaves self bondage as the only option, heh. I never did anything with time release mechanisms of any sort, just rope that I'd finish tying with my mouth and then untie when I wanted to, or handcuffs where I had the key right there...

But after a while (after I tried a variety of stuff and can't do much else without doing anything more risky), it didn't really do much for me... Now that I've tried it, I want there to be someone else to tie me up, so that I can't just get out whenever and am at their mercy. =) (Or, of course, someone else for me to tie up, would be just as fun)... And as such, I haven't done it in a long time, heh.

So, fnord.

Pardon me, but a permanent nerve injury can be sustained in minutes. Asphyxia or harness hang syndrome in certain positions as well. You probably don't want to hear it, but I'd seriously recommend against self-suspension without someone to help nearby.

Status: offline 		I've done some self-bondage with decorative rope harnesses, usually for a costume, or to practice the knots. I prefer doing it in a way that is unrestricted, more as clothes, though.

Status: offline 		Never tried self bondage ... except when as a kid, we used to cut the bottom out of supermarket plastic bags, stick both our wrists through, and then, twist one arm in circular motions as the bag wound tighter and tighter on our wrists, until we had plastic handcuffs on our wrists that had surprising strength and which had to be cut off eventually after the fun was over.

In 2-3 hours or less??????  Please tell me NO WAY.  By that time you could have killed yourself

Status: offline 		I have a sack i use for suspension I'm not foolish enough to use ropes or chains. Maybe foolish isn't the right word. I put on a pair of leather cuffs climb in the sack (bag) made of burlap and lined with soft cotton, then using the remote to my very small and highly under powered winch (from a 1984 jeep) it lifts me about 4 inches off the ground just high enough to get my body off the ground. but not high enough if the motor were to slip I'd seriously hurt myself. I have had one mishap with suspension bondage before and that was the cord holding my bag up broke and i feel 2 inch on my bottom. I'm looking for slings to use for my suspension play but I can't find any good high quality ones for a reasonable price if anyone has a store i could look at I'd greatly appreciate it.

I believe that one of the reasons that you "came up empty" in your search is because most responsible dominants will not recommend self-bondage to the general public.

When the author of "Erotic Bondage", Jay Wiseman, did research on the leading causes of death and/or injury during bondage, the number one cause of death/injury was simply that the submissive was left alone.

Self-bondage is definitely in the "edge-play" category.

Status: offline 		When I was in my early teens I went thru what I refer to as my 'Houdini phase' -- I was fascinated, read all kinds of books about him . . . . & I would tie myself up so I could get loose, including hogties . . . . . . Made me very good at figuring out the difference between 'really tied up' & only sorta kinda tied up .. . . . lol

I always thought it was just another sign of what a weirdo I am, until I started to 'come out' as kinky, get involved with the BDSM community, & was looking back over my history & seeing all these 'kinky all along' things . . . . lol

I also went thru a 'foot-binding' phase in my later teens; kept a sheet torn into strips, would bind my feet up as near to the descriptions as possible (not nearly what the Chinese girls went thru, but I was not so daft as to break the bones, so . . . . ), try to hobble around the house, see how long I could stand it . . . . Did this every few months for several years . .. . In retro, it seems like it's analogous to the self-bondage thing . . .. .
