Does anyone here know how to download songs from a PC to MySpace? i am totally at a loss as to where or how to do this.

You would need to have a Myspace Music account and then you would have to have some form of right to the music otherwise you would have it pulled and your account would be flagged. I do know that Fan Clubs of Bands can have the mucis but I believe you need to have permission first. I really don't know how it works.

If you find the band on Myspace and they have the song you want listed you can add it to your Myspace page with a simple click of the mouse. I know that if you paid for the music you can get an i-tunes player but you would have to go to thier website to get it.

these songs were recorded from Karaokee. i am the artist so i believe i'm free to post them. just can't figure it out. the people that tried to assist me have made the whole thing complicated and confused me greatly. can someone please provide me with simple instructions on how to do this?

i have them converted to PM3s as well as stored in their original format. i am getting soooooooooo frustrated at this whole thing

Hmmmmm contact someone on My Space who already has what you want and then ask them how they did it. If that doesn't work man give up.

since these songs are my own and not found on the net...nobody else has them. nevermind...it's a lost cause. thanks anyways.

i've come to the conclusion the both MySpace and FaceBook suck when it comes to putting up one's on music.

myspace is actually a great place for your music
just because you can't figure it out doesnt mean it sucks. LOADS of bands use it everyday, from little bands to huge ones
and there's tons of exposure to be found via myspace, even if it IS the magical land of comment whores and friend collectors, these days.

just contact help
it really isn't that hard

if you have a myspace music page, go into "edit profile"
then go to "edit artist profile"
on the side you should see "current songs"
click "add a song to your profile"

also --

scroll to the bottom and look for "ADD a song"
click on ADD

you enter the info for the song, then click "update," and then you'll be given a screen to upload.

have you tried that stuff already?

the thing is, the help screens do not match the actual screens i see.

Millions of 12 year olds figure out how to upload music to MySpace and Facebook, so the problem can't be with the applications themselves.

Calm down. Take a deep breath and go to the Support Forum. You may have to do a little reading, but I assure you the answer is there.

then again, i could always try to find someone i really trust and let them do it for me...or at least come here to my home and i can show them what i'm seeing isn't what anyone's telling me or what i'm seeing really doesn't match what the hellp screens are telling me to do. only way to prove what i'm saying is right.

The best way to find Myspace help would probably *not* be get worked up about it on Collarme.

okies, dude, i explained it to you as clearly as possible. i don't think you even tried it, you're probably just trying to get someone to send you a message.
there are support forums, there are help screens, heck you can even send a message to Tom Andersen himself.

i have tried it on Flock and Internet Explorer and i do not see a "Manage Songs" tab anywhere on the pages. i have been working on this for a couple of days, managed only to name a playlist, as for putting "MY SONGS" from "MY PC" into that playlist...it is impossible if the tabs do not exist.

okay wait...

are you trying to UPLOAD ORIGINAL SONGS TO A MYSPACE MUSIC PROFILE or are you tinkering around with your profile song on a regular myspace page?
in order to upload your own music, you need to have a MYSPACE MUSIC profile. myspace music is an entity within myspace. you have to sign up for a myspace music page SEPARATELY from your standard myspace profile.

if you're somewhere naming a playlist, more than likely you're messing with the profile song of a regular profile.
you need to go to the myspace music section and make a music page. THEN the explanations will probably make sense.
