Cheney grants interview to CNN's State of the Union.

He defends waterboarding, states that his Administration's economic policies were just fine, and criticizes the Obama administration because he doesn't believe that we can have safety unless we torture people.

When will the GOP be able to distance itself from Bush/Cheney?  It's pretty obvious to me that the most unpopular Presidency in recent times (yes, more than Carter) must have done SOMETHING wrong.  Even a lot of conservatives are realizing that Bush's spending was ruinous.  So when will the GOP disown the Bush policies and start looking forward?

Sir Steven,

I am still a registered Republican and am looking forward with you.  1 down, 39,999,999 to go.  Who's next?

yours

When will the Obama Administration distance itself from the Bush Cheany plutocracy? Maybe when he stops playing "bi-partisanship" with a bunch of chimps who are obviously more interested in thowing feces than working together. Once he gets over that, the course of action is clear: prosecute the Bush Administration for war crimes.

Do that, and maybe he can start proving to the country and the world that yes, we ARE a nation of laws again.. and not of self appointed kings.

Cheney must have gotten done designing his new business digs.  I hear the sign above the entrance is " Arbeit Macht Frei."

I heard that Seymour Hersh is coming out with an expose` on a murder/kidnap cell run by Chaney.

http://www.alternet.org/rights/131153/seymour_hersh:_%22executive_assassination_ring%22_answered_to_cheney,_had_no_congressional_oversight/

Which would explain the recent big push by the "bushes still on cool-aid" at vindicating themselves, one mantra being"bush kept us safe since 9/11 and another, Obama should be grateful he didn`t inherited a would with Saddam Hussein in it".

Look for those two phrases repeated constantly, along with the usual scare/frighten phrasing used repeatedly.

The spending was ruinous?

No it was far more than the spending as this arrogant jackass demonstrates.

How we as a country ever managed to breed this kind of despicable little weasel and put him in office is beyond me.

he is a particularly nasty specimen of human
smarm and lies ooozing out of him like a pus filled boil

"Obama should be grateful that he didn't inherit a world with Saddam in it?"

So he should be grateful that he inherited a white house that had BECOME the seat of an over reaching, near dictatorship like the one Saddam ran?

Owner, yeah, I did hear about the Cheany DEATH SQUAD (let's call it what it is) As I recall, many of the conservative echo chambers on this site said I was was being a "paranoid easily led sheep" by giving the accusation any thought whatsoever.

Welcome to the club.

I do believe the actual phrase is Executive Assassination Ring.

It will be horrendous news indeed, if Seymour Hirsh's claims turn out to be true.
