Sorry to be a bit off-topic here but there doesn't seem to be a forum for discussing the collarme site. Should there be one? Where do you get suggestions?

I am in California, which is quite large, so browsing by proximity is key. Unfortunately, when I put San Francisco in the "Text or city" field (what is "text"?) it gets no results no matter what. I tried zip code, etc as well. Double unfortunately, I noticed many many profiles only specify California, including quite a few that request only nearby partners.... It would be nice to know if someone was in northern, central, or southern Cali at the least.

Don't put anything in the search text box, but put the "Max Distance" box at 25 or 50 miles, depending on your preference. Then click Search.

Also, under the "My Account" tab, make sure you have your zip code entered.  When I pull up your profile, it does not list your distance from me, which usually means you don't have a zip code entered, or you have one entered that doesn't exist, like 0000.

Yeah, I feel ya. I don't live there, but I do almost all of my browsing in California, and I have the same problem.

I don't think there's anything that either one of us can do about it, though. I think that's just the way it is - the search function just doesn't have that narrow a focus written into it.We just have to pull up everyone in the whole state and scroll through the list sorting  out the cities with our bare eyeballs. All things considered, though, it's not that big a deal to me. All the other major adult sites have the same limitation, and I think that overall Collarme's search function is clearly superior to any of the competition. We live in an imperfect world, but  this is an imperfection I can live with. Good luck with your search, anyway!

Oh. I never noticed that.

Goddamn, the women are smart in California. I swear, I picked the right state to relocate to!

Okay, I was just futzing with my settings, and I put in San Francisco, and got a ton of hits.  You have to put "Max Distance" at "ANY", or it seems that they cancel each other out and you get no hits.

I see. Did not know I had an empty zip code - shouldn't that be on the profile and not in the My Account page? Many people would just update the city in their profile if they moved... as the above post indicates this is not obvious.

Also, I expected "Distance" to be distance from the city or zip I enter, not distance from the zip in the "My Account" page.

Fixed those and it seem to work now.

If only I could also filter out profiles that had no content and are obvious scams!!! There are so many profiles with just "..." or a yahoo IM in their descriptions.
