Ok...just a personal experience here: For years my sleep was severely affected by sleep apnea. I remember waking up twenty times a night and that's just what I remember. I spent my days in a fog, falling asleep in movies, at work and even a few times behind the wheel of my car. Back in October, I went to a sleep study. They found out that I was getting maybe 5 minutes of real sleep per hour tops. They immediatly perscribed me a bipap machine (the bipap is very much like a CPAP. The CPAP blows air out while a BIPAP blows out air when you exhale and draws it back after you inhale). Wel, after 5 months, I'm a new person. I no longer fall asleep save when I go to bed. My focus is far better. My blood pressure and pulse rate have decreased to a healthy level. I'm even losing weight without overly dieting. In short, it has made a tremendous difference in my life. Yes, it takes a while to get used to the mask, but the benefits are more than worth the effort.
