Yes and I still use it.

bondage.irc is the channel I am still using however it has gotten quiet lately.

What channel are you on Steel? I am on bondage.com too and it seems pretty hoppin' ;)

There is a new server...not many people on it at all though, so I don't visit it much.

Heh, there are a ton of IRC servers around... I'm always in a few different channels, on different servers (one of which is my own server).... This site even has an IRC server set up. (See that "Enter the [subforum name] chatroom" at the top of every page on the forums?... While it goes to a web based client, it connects to a normal IRC server.. I sometimes lurk in a few of those channels just to see if anyone will come, but, they're always empty)

My IRC client of choice is, of course, X-Chat.

I stick to the firehouse radio station I like Mad, as for discussions I go to a few different chats I have old friends in some of them I am not an Op in any of them but at one time in 99 I was creating Bot's and Making Vending Machines and Toy Boxes and having Geeks Dream life.

Did you know a lot of the old Hack Commands still work? Dangerous place to be these days. It opens you up to so many nasty people who enjoy screwing with people.

IRC is alive and well. I chat there most evenings for a bit. I met my very fabulous submissive female partner there. Way better meeting folks there than on a site like this. IRC was one of the first things I discovered when I got internet access in 1995. I started out on EfNet. These days I hang out on DalNet. IRC and Usenet - another great hidden gem. I spend probably 90% of my online time between those two pursuits. I am always amazed at the vast number of folks that think email and the world wide web comprise the entirety of the internet.

Used to run a couple of rather well attended channels on undernet back in the day...

I've been on the CM chatrooms a few times, but it really doesn't interest me anymore.

Geek girl here... I started using IRC back about 1992 at a friend's place until I got my own computer. Even then it had been around a while because my friend had been on it for some time. I know that there's a current channel for "electric sheep" though I haven't chatted on it. Usually when most people are on, evenings and nights, I'm way too busy with Lumus, family and sleeping.
