Do you need a point by point reminder, including links to previous topics, where you dismissed something out of hand because of where it came from?

I always listen. And of course I`m going to dismiss anything sourced from the bush white house or that fake news outfit, fox.

For me to believe anything coming out`a them,it must be confirmed by at least three independent, outside sources.

Did you have any pertinent input for my thread about what Gates said?Comments about me are off topic.

Merc, when the subject of bush comes up,don`t mention performance/results.Unless you have ear plugs to drown out the laughter.

I swear I haven't hacked into 59's profile and he really did write this...

I'll follow your example and "dismiss" the comments of Robert Gates since he is a source originating from the "bush white house".

I suggest on this issue you take your own advice.

Gates, like any bureaucrat has one job - keeping his job. His comments reflect that position. You, and fellow Obamites, should appreciate that, since the Administration has created an environment where the odds of getting a private sector job of any significance are virtually non-existent.

Putting it in terms you could relate to; if the Administration wanted to make President Bush's birthday a national holiday - you'd find a reason where that was a good decision. Gates has done the same giving his opinion in this instance.

Hey Owner59:  Would you also dismiss out of hand unflattering comments about NObama sourced from NObama's own choice for V-P on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, etc., ect.?

"He does not have the experience or judgment to be President.  The Presidency is not a job for on the job training."
-- sourced from NObama's own choice for V-P Joe Biden during the Demoncrap primary.

Abort NObama!

Yeah, it was his dad who was the baseball player at Yale. Supposed to have been pretty decent, too. W just sucked at pretty much everything.

Kittin, I'll bet you'd  have been happier than a pig in a mud puddle if Bill Bradley had made it in 2000. A Rhodes scholar and an NBA all-star. And you know what they say about guys with big hands...

kittinSol -> RE: Republican Secretary of Defence Gates says Obama is more analytical than bush... (3/3/2009 3:44:24 PM)

I should have known Bush was a cheerleader. Of all the heinous activities available to American teenagers out there, cheerleading has to rank number one on the list: what a sucky sport [X(] .

I think the 'A' stands for something other than Andover.

Looking at him so young,it`s hard to imagine that he could fuck up as mush as he`s fucked up.

True..but we got a hint when he yelled, "Give me a T...give me an E...give me an A....Give me an M...What's that spell?".....the reason it should have been a hint because he was askign because he really didn't know.

MasterShake69 -> RE: Republican Secretary of Defence Gates says Obama is more analytical than bush... (3/3/2009 7:54:54 PM)

just liek the left ignores former FEMA Director Michael Brown until he attacks Bush.  Then whatever he says he is correect...lol

So if he was a Dem,you`d probably bash Gates as biased for Obama, yes? No doubt about it.

I would think that you would regard this as good news,Merc.

Why on earth, would it not be?

MasterShake69 -> RE: Republican Secretary of Defense Gates says Obama is more analytical than bush... (3/3/2009 7:56:38 PM)

Over 90% of all of fox news stories comes from wire reports like AP.

I think it`s great news as an American.

And we could use some good news.

This isn`t political, tho some can`t help but inject it where is don`t belong, like national security matters.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Tell us, Robert Gates, what's the difference between working under Barack Obama and working under George W. Bush?

That sounds like the subject of a good book," Gates said with a smile.
"It's really hard to say," he continued during an interview aired Sunday on "Meet the Press" on NBC.

"I think that probably President Obama is somewhat more analytical. And he makes sure he hears from everybody in the room on an issue. And if they don't speak up, he calls on them."

This is a good sign.
Funny how that word didnt make it into your Subject line.
Typical .
In English, "somewhat more" is still "more".
Irrelevant.

Don't people have anything to say about George Bush other than vile personal attacks. Yea, the man was a "cheerleader" at prep school...what a "heinous" activity for a young man at an all male school.  I have been critical of Obama because I believe his politics is putting the country on a dangerous course.  However, I have never gone back in time to attack him for "heinous" activities as a young boy...unless you think doing drugs is really the way to go than standing in slacks and sweater supporting the schools football team.

All these "twits" that were cheerleaders in younger days should be exposed for their heinous boyhood activities...Who else might we have heard of that also were cheerleaders in school..

Men such as:
Dwight D. Eisenhower
          Samuel L. Jackson
              Steve Martin
                    Franklin D. Roosevelt
                          Aaron Spelling
                                 Jimmy Stewart,
among others...were all cheerleaders in their youth.

ALL participated in this "HEINOUS" sport.  By the way, I guess most people here have never been to a cheer contest where the kids compete against other schools.  Cheer happens to be more dangerous than the "manly sports of baseball, tennis, golf, swimming, hunting, ...these kids are full of spirit and enthusiasm and are in better shape perfecting their routines than most teens today.
