I agree with Eclipse...this really is an arena within BDSM and D/s wherein there lies two distinct groups: those that get sexually aroused by D/s and BDSM activities and those that do not. On a basic level, I fit in with the dictionary definition of a sadist...someone who gets sexually aroused from inflicting pain. I match up best with someon who, on a basic level, fits the dictionary definition of a masochist...someone who gets sexually aroused from receiving pain. Of course, then there are all those wonderful shadings that enhance it...the control, the interaction of a submissive with a dominant, the knowledge that something I am doing, though not an overt sexual touch, is still causing arousal and that her arousal is enhanced because it is me doing it, etc.. '
While I don't quite get the other mindset, I have seen it expressed on here too many times to deny that it exists. You have to find what works best for you in your life.
