If you have sent a message to a mistress and you see they have read your message, but not responded - should you re message them again or just give up?

Give the person some time. They might be busy. If they don't respond then maybe they're just not interested.

It really does depend. I get caught up in life, a lot. I'll receive an email from someone I know and I'm about to reply to it, something offline will need my attention and I'll come away thinking to myself, "I'll answer that later on when I'm able to", I come back online to find several other emails waiting for me to read and I'll do so, completely forgetting about the initial one I was supposed to have replied to earlier in the day. I'm human, sometimes I overlook emails and I genuinely do appreciate a prompter from someone I haven't replied to after a few days. As with anyone else, I loathe it when I have taken the time to reply to someone (very rarely a one-liner and usually a thoughtfully constructed and detailed reply) it irks the crap out of me if I then do not receive the courtesy of a reply from them, but then, they are likely thinking the same of me! Life happens. If you have sent an email to someone you haven't spoken with previously and receive no answer after a few days, move on. It's unlikely you'll receive a reply and a follow up prompter is unnecessary.

If you choose to write again, don't say something like "I see you read my message but didn't reply". Doesn't go over well. As a Domme I used to get at least 20 emails a day. Some would just say "hello". Those typically got deleted. The ones that got my interest were ones that commented on my profile or my journal.

Did you send a form letter cut 'n paste? Then it was deleted. If you take the time to read the whole profile and journal posts and follow any instructions and write a short, polite e-mail you might get a positive response. Stay active in the Forums and get to know the regulars so you are not a complete stranger when approaching a Mistress. [sm=welcome.gif]
