Why are you worried about it?  Read, don't like... move on.  What do you care if someone doesn't sell in your view of things?

I am not selling myself in my profile.  I am talking about myself and what I want in life. I'm not here just to find someone.  I talk about what I want to talk about and if someone else doesn't like it... too bad.

I read on a profile on the home page about a guy who can't understand why a domina ask's why he is kneeling at her feet on a first meet... he thinks the attitude ougth to go with the heels... he isn't happy.  I read about all those who are upset with the fakes... the games... the profiles, the lack of profiles... and I even have my pet peeve's which would include people not reading the profiles and looking for a quick mistress play toy... Yet to blast people with your upset... typcially add's to their pet peeve list.  What the hell does it matter with thousands of other profiles to move to?

I think part of this is that many profilers come here after playing and often...for some time. During this play they discover what they do and don't like at least concerning many aspects of BDSM, the rest of the kinky, sexual fetishes and the so-called lifestyle.

This learning becomes invaluble but also tends to selectively refine for whom they might profile and just what they would do. 

This inspires lists of wants and don't wants. I think the problem that arises is that even after only a few weeks or months and many of course...experienced...begin to look for and then only meet with those that they think meet their perfect life's desires and wants...and nobody else.

This all too often results in unfulfilled, yearning frustration and further specificity and even angst in their profile/journal. My suggestion has always been if one looks for a better perspective is not to get wrapped up in what Freud advised..."the narcissism of small details."

So true!  While there may be all the chemistry imaginable as well almost identical desires and needs physically, if there isn't a mental
connection being reached or in some cases the lack of desire to reach that mental level, then at least to me it is just "play".  And there are many practices and scenario's that I have not experienced yet, nor do I want to until I am in a committed relationship with a Dominant who is going to be there for me during and after these limit's have been pushed. 

I think that  it is important to list at the very minimum what it is that you are seeking or hoping to achieve in posting here.  For instance, if you have no idea why you are posting a profile, say so.  If you are looking for a series of nsa encounters, say so.  If you are seeking a ltr with the D or s of your dreams, say so.  If you can't be at least that honest with yourself then you probably shouldn't have a profile here at all.

Every detail in a profile tells something. In this regard all profiles are good. "Don't do list" is unpleasant and shows some arrogance.  Of cource, everything should be taken in the context. I think better style is to clearly state what you want rather than what you do not want.

I'd rather a "Idon't" profile than an empty one, for sure. More information allows us to establish some understanding of the person involved.. sure, I don't really like the ones that are a rant about things that are obviously carryover from other bad interactions, but I'd still rather see that than 4 lines of not much.
Curiously.. the OP's profile is rather.. scant.. LOL.

I'm decently experienced to the point of where yes... I know what I don't want. Currently, I don't want anything more than vauge friendship from this site, and it's on my profile.

Nothing better than CaptainShinyPantsMaster12 telling me what I do, and do not want.

Depends.

If someone fills out the checklist, cool.  That's exactly what the checklist is for.

If someone mentions within the prose part of their profile that they won't do XXX, then okay.  I'm not sure why they mention it there instead of or in addition to the checklist, but okay.

If they mention in the profile "I AM SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE CONTACTING ME ABOUT XXX!  I NEVER DID IT AND NEVER WILL!  CAN'T YOU FUCKING READ?" then I move on.

I never go pages down to read threads, I only occasionally read what is on the front page. I thought everything there was new there so I don't look at dates. Gotta look at my settings. Or is it a bug?

I'm sure others are more than willing to buy if it fits their requirements as well.
