Yea, Panda. I once saw a show called The Last Days of Earth, and it talked about things like what you're saying. Gave you examples of what 'might' happen if something like a dying star, a black hole, or any number of things were to pass by us, close enough to penetrate our atmosphere. And you're numbers sound awful familiar to me, too (only, for some reason I think it might be thousands of years, not millions, but I too could be wrong. With all I've been reading about Mayan's and the Grand Ages, it seems there are many different interpretations and beliefs that all hold somewhere about that timeline for the end of one age, and the beginning of another. (Which they are saying is going to be around 2012) *shrug*
