ORIGINAL: openmindedslave Okay , am I the only person that watches the commericals and realize "No Way" is any of this happening in my neighborhood. I saw an EMPIRE CARPETS commercial that shows all these pretty models reading letters sent by homeowners who had wounderful experiences. I am ok with this .But then they show all these pretty people installing carpet and the salesperson discussing their products in your home. They claim they will not be undersole. Reality, is the Company has nothing but subcontractors for all the work.Even the salespersons have to be incorporated to work for them. They promise to be there the next day and they do show up. But many of the people don't speak english as a first language and if there is a ny problem , the installers don't know anything at all .And they price high and come down but not as low as they promise.. I know you pay for the convince of getting the carpet the next day, but how many people can't wait a week or so to get installed. Who else want's to challenge a commercial with their experiences? I was in Atlanta a few years ago, saw an Empire Carpets commercial and thought "Geeeez...they're here too??? They must be big!!!", then a few weeks later saw the same commercial in Denver, then 2 months later saw the same thing in Chicago, then a few weeks later in New Orleans, then again in San Diego...and realized this was just a 1 - 800 kind of gig for carpets....
