I think deceiving is commercial showing teen boy receiving much attention from women only because he spray nasty stuff on himself. I think Axe is name of stuff. Poor teen boy thinks girls will want them because they wear axe. Axe is nasty.

I have problem with American commercials under representing Polish dominants. I plan protest.

Girls may not want him...

Axe is horrible... guys that don't shower douse themselves in it and count it as hygiene.

in those cases it's just gross :(

But my brother and I came up with a formula for using it *really* effectively as both a deodorant and slight cologne.

Freshly out of a shower (before drying) spray it in the 'hot spots' where you typically *need* deodorant, as well as the commercial's X pattern on your chest (in a really quick motion). Just a bit, less than a slight press in each area. Dry yourself off, and then reapply with the same amount to the places that need the deodorant, and you're good to go. You have a nice, clean scent with the benefit of whatever extra the Axe flavor you chose.

All the girls tell him he smells nice... (he's kinda a cuddle-slut), and I used to get the same compliments when I did Axe. Now I just use stick deodorant and no cologne... yay old spice? That's another one that seems to be more popular with men than women, though >.>

Nooo old spice smells nice in moderation.

What about all the Di-tech ads for home loans....They are owned by GM, if they have money to lend for home loans, why do they need a bailout.

I just love how 1 paper towel can clean your whole kitchen and not even rip, it's the quicker picker upper....yea...and I have a bridge I need to sell

You're under the erroneous assumption that banks are lending their own assets. That is far from the truth. Banks typically lend only their credit, actually borrowing the money from another source and passing it onto the consumer under terms more favorable to themselves. Or they have the loans sold before they are even made - pre planned securitization if you will - and merely "borrow" from a very temporary "warehouse" lender until the sale of the loan into the MBS pool can take place, a period as short as a day or two, and rarely over 30 days.

An understanding of what is, and is not, would also be a good idea. Mostly we're talking about paper that is printed at a whim, or digital entries.

Okay , am I the only person that watches the commericals and realize "No Way" is any of this happening in my neighborhood.

I saw an EMPIRE CARPETS commercial that shows all these pretty models reading letters sent by homeowners  who had wounderful experiences. I am ok with this .But then they show all these pretty people installing carpet and the salesperson  discussing their products in your home. They claim they will not be undersole.

Reality, is the Company has nothing but subcontractors for all the work.Even the salespersons have to be incorporated to work for them. They promise to be there the next day and they do show up. But  many of the people don't speak english as a first language and  if there is a ny problem , the installers  don't know anything at all .And they price high and come down  but not as low as they promise.. I know you pay for the  convince of getting  the carpet the next day, but how many people can't wait a week  or so to get installed.

Who else want's to challenge a commercial with their experiences?

I was in Atlanta a few years ago, saw an Empire Carpets commercial and thought "Geeeez...they're here too???  They must be big!!!", then a few weeks later saw the same commercial in Denver, then 2 months later saw the same thing in Chicago, then a few weeks later in New Orleans, then again in San Diego...and realized this was just a 1 - 800 kind of gig for carpets....

Almost all avertising is but TV is first as a rule and mostly pablum or whose first order of business is to insult your intelligence.

My question is how in the hell are they making money paying for all of the sports and endorsements...yet can't make any money paying Americans just a decent wage ?

MsSpankhardSk -> RE: Commercials that stretch the truth!!! (2/8/2009 8:40:00 PM)

<sarcastic aura> I absolutely love going to the theatre to find that commercials are being played before the movie.
WTF did I pay money to see this crap? I don't even watch tv at home because of it.
